Hilaria Baldwin Accuses Alec Baldwin’s “Enemies” Of Inflicting “Psychological Torture”

I had no idea Alec Baldwin was experiencing “psychological torture” as a result of being “dehumanized” by his “enemies” who “seek to destroy him” for the solitary crime of “speaking up for what [he believes] and for helping others,” but after reading Hilaria Baldwin’s most recent post on Instagram, I’m like, jeez, now I feel kinda bad for the guy. Here I thought the observation that Alec is a short-tempered, egotistical blowhard who doesn’t know when to quit was valid given his past, current, and predicted future behavior. But Hilaria is his wife and presumably knows the tortured soul hiding somewhere under that steely exterior better than anyone. And it’s not like Hilaria has never given us any reason to doubt her. After all, Spanish women are as well known for their candor as they are for their familia gazpacho recipes.

I had assumed that Alec looks like an ancient mariner who’d been cursed by a sea-witch to live out his days never sleeping, just bobbing in a dingy afloat atop a barge of soiled diapers being screeched at by a sirena español who keeps lobbing babies at him, due to the fact that he has so many damn kids. But according to The World’s Most Reliable Source, it’s the darker side of show business that’s keeping him awake at night. Which, of course! Duh. We know it’s not the knowledge that he killed somebody. Page Six reports:

Hilaria Baldwin penned a lengthy post about the “darker part” of her husband Alec Baldwin’s career, claiming “enemies … seek to destroy him.”

The former yoga instructor, 38, posted a black-and-white photo of herself resting with the “30 Rock” alum, 64, on Instagram Wednesday.

“To enter your world and become your person has been both a joy and an eye opening experience,” she captioned the snap. “I am forever grateful. Every day.”

However, Hilaria went on to write, “The darker part is seeing behind the curtain at how some of this ‘business’ can function and the blows and sacrifices that someone in the public eye takes for speaking up for what they believe and for helping others.

It’s true that Alec’s philanthropic track record is as unimpeachable as his Donald Trump impersonation. Alec is always there to offer a hand to the down and out. And for that, I’m sure Woody Allen is forever thankful. And according to Hilaria, scores of New Yorkers who aren’t married to children they helped raise are equally appreciative of Alec’s largess and frequently stop him on the streets to thank him for his “philanthropy in the arts,” his “work with children,” for “fighting for our environment,” and “yes, we all know,” his “politics.” But Alec hasn’t soared to the humanitarian heights that prompted Halyna Hutchinshusband to askare we really supposed to feel bad about you, Mr. Baldwin?” without a lot of support from his equally persecuted wife. They are, as Hilaria says, “un buen equipo.” Nice one, Hilaria. I actually had to look that one up.

“Unfortunately, having experienced the dehumanization myself, (another old tactic to go after the spouse of your enemy), leads us to the moments when we think: how much more can one body and one mind take before we crumple beneath the psychological torture?” she wrote.

Here’s Hilaria’s post featuring a searing black and white portrait of their inner turmoil with her lengthy caption.

Hilaria could have saved herself a lot of time and the hassle of trying to type that while simultaneously translating in her head had she simply captioned it for what it is. The Unbearable Weight of Psychological Torture and a $600,000 Watch.
