Jamie Spears Denies Bugging Britney Spears’ Room But Is Suspiciously Silent On Claims He Spied On Her Phone Calls

Now that Britney Spears is a free-ass woman and can do what she wants including marrying Sam Asghari, with a star-studded wedding, it’s time for her to get legal revenge on those she says did her wrong during her 13-year conservatorship. Namely, Jamie Spears, Britney’s father who she believes belongs in prison. Daddy Spears was accused in the Controlling Britney Spears documentary of bugging Britney’s room and tapping her phone to keep an eye on her. But he’s now responded to the allegations in a court filing and he vehemently denies spying on her….. in her bedroom. But noticeably he did not deny other allegations including spying on her phone calls and internet history. The man was checking her internet history–can you imagine?! Every time she Googled: “Stream Dolittle free” he knew!

Controlling Britney Spears, which premiered last September on FX and Hulu, featured tons of evidence provided to them by Alex Vlasov, who worked for the security firm hired by Jamie Spears. Alex claimed Jamie had over 180 hours of audio recordings of Britney’s room and monitored her texts, calls, and internet history on her phone. He provided the documentarians with alleged recordings, emails, and texts that were described as “an intense surveillance apparatus.” Back then, Jamie’s lawyer said that all the “actions were done with the knowledge and consent of Britney, her court-appointed attorney [Samuel D. Ingham III] and/or the court,”–but notice the “or” so Britney definitely was not aware. In February, Britney’s lawyer, Mathew Rosengart, got a former FBI agent to investigate the allegations who found Alex to be “highly credible” and her investigation found that Jamie “engaged in and directed others to engage in unconscionable violations of [Britney’s] privacy and civil liberties.”

Page Six says that now Jamie is firing back in court and submitted a sworn declaration to the Los Angeles Superior Court on Wednesday.

“I am informed of the allegation … that a listening device or “bug” was placed [in] her bedroom as surveillance during the conservatorship. This allegation is false,” Jamie said in court documents exclusively obtained by Page Six.

“I never conducted or authorized any surveillance of Britney’s bedroom at any time, including during the conservatorship,” he added. “I am not aware of any such surveillance having occurred.”

Jamie also said “under penalty of perjury” that “if called and sworn as a witness,” he “could and would testify” that his declaration is “true and correct.”

NOTICE that he’s only denying bugging Britney’s bedroom. Mathew Rosengart didn’t immediately respond to Page Six with a comment after the filing. But he did recently blast Jamie and his legal team for trying to force Britney into a deposition about her 13-year conservatorship. Variety says Mathew called it an ” effort to upset and intimidate her.”

Well, if Jamie ever gets low on money, he can always try suing Black Mirror for stealing his life story with the Miley Cyrus episode where a pop star is under tyrannical control. A little bit too close to reality, I think!
