Machine Gun Kelly Smashed A Champagne Glass On His Forehead For Attention
With all the attention that Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling have been getting as Ken and Barbie, it’s no wonder that their trashy $1 store tethers, Machine Gun Kelly and Megan Fox, seem to be scrambling to redirect the spotlight onto themselves, the self-styled Barbie and Ken of the poser punk scene. Well, MGK, Sir, you are no Ken! Ken’s got more balls in his smooth plastic mons pubis than whatever MGK had rolling around under his pastel pink culottes as he smashed a champagne glass on his forehead on stage during an after-party. Yes, a CHAMPAGNE glass. Even MGK’s weapon of choice was less punk rock than the machine-frayed edges on Ken’s sleeveless light-wash denim jacket.
Complex reports that MGK “shared a video of himself smashing a champagne glass on his forehead and gushing blood from the wound during an afterparty in New York City Tuesday night.” In doing so, Lil GG Allin cheapened what could have been a truly special moment between him and his fans. He should have just sat there and eaten his shit because now we’re all making fun of him.
According to Page Six, MGK was delivering a speech to the crowd when he said, “I don’t give a fuck, bro. I don’t give a shit,” before breaking the glass over his face and performing “My Ex’s Best Friend” as blood streamed down his face.

See, now, Ken would have smashed the glass on his abs, not his forehead. He may be a literal box of hair, but at least he makes sense as a character. I still have no idea what MGK is trying to go for here. But he did explain why he did it. On Late Night with Seth Meyers, MGK explained “you know when you clink a champagne glass with a fork to kind of get people’s attention? Yeah, I didn’t have a fork. So I just clinked it on my head.”
Ah, so he admits he did it for attention! So much for not giving a fuck. And apparently, MGK was similarly attention deprived during his concert at Madison Square Garden earlier in the night.
Machine Gun Kelly also displayed some bizarre antics during his show at Madison Square Garden earlier that night. Page Six reports MGK stormed off the stage towards the end of his set to confront a male employee, but was held back by a security guard. His band played during the altercation until he returned to the stage only to smash a guitar.

Honestly, I’d be more impressed with MGK’s theatrics if Mariah Carey hadn’t already done first and better.
Sorry to say, but Mariah’s the only one who can make bleeding down the front of a bedazzled pink blouse look fabulous and edgy. Well, Mariah and Ken. And Barbie, of course, who is so hardcore she’ll pop her entire head off and bleed out her neck-stump all over the audience. Even Skipper is laughing at this fool.
