The Situation Still Owes $2.3 Million In Unpaid Taxes After Serving Prison Time For Not Paying His Taxes

The IRS must have recently been working through their stack of reality celeb tax forms because last week we found out that Erika Jayne was catching their heat. Next up: Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino. The Jersey Shore: Family Vacation star was already convicted of tax fraud and served hard (but Snooki said it was easy) time, had community service (that he fell way far behind on), and was on probation. But, the IRS says that he still has a tax situation and owes that persistent bitch lots of money. Mike’s GTL routine now consists of “Getting Tax Liens,” as documents show that he still needs to pony up about $2.3 million in unpaid taxes.

The Sun reported that Mike was delivered the news a few months ago and he owes taxes that span several years.

Documents exclusively obtained by The Sun show that Mike was hit with the IRS tax lien in April and that his debts to the feds span the course of several years from 2010 up until 2016.

The 39-year-old Jersey Shore star owes federal taxes for each of those years, with the exception of 2014…a New Jersey clerk confirmed that this is an open and outstanding lien with the IRS totaling $2.3 million.

Mike’s rep pretty much said “yeahhh buddy! He still owes that.”

Mike’s publicist, Robyn Bordes, told The Sun: “Michael Sorrentino has been working diligently to comply with his current and past tax obligations, and he will continue to do so.”

The Sitch’s tax saga has been ongoing for the better part of a decade now. He was indicted in 2014, pled guilty in 2018, and in 2019 served his 8-month prison sentence. He has paid off a sliver of his debt though and doesn’t have to peepee for his P.O. anymore:

As The Sun previously exclusively reported Mike paid off $337,693 in restitution for his tax evasion case on January 13 of 2020. Mike’s probation ended in 2021.

Here’s The Sitch celebrating fulfilling all of his court-appointed obligations. Guess he forgot about that pesky little $2 mil.

Mike has continued to appear on MTV, so it’s time to start coughing up the cash. Since his mess began, he got married (in a lavish wedding that appeared on the show, so I’m sure MTV footed some of the bill for it), had a son, and was seemingly heading in the right direction after spending most of the 2000s being a raging, hard-partying, narcissistic asshole. Whatever you do, Mike, do not hire Teresa and Juicy Joe Guidice’s lawyer; he clearly ain’t got it, and Jersey must have plenty of fraudy lawyer-types to choose from, no? New Jersey: time to restock your prisons with cheek filler and chicken cutlets, because The Sitch might be coming for you.
