Honey Boo Boo Was Seen Wearing A Ring On THAT Finger, But Denies Being Engaged
I’m not sure how Here Comes Honey Boo Boo alum and current Mama June: Road to Redemption star Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson and her family keep popping up in the news and creeping their way back into our day-to-day lexicon (probably has something to do with June “Mama June” Shannon continuing to Mama June), but here we are. Last year, 16-year-old Alana was in the news for going public with her then 20-year-old boyfriend, Dralin Carswell. Lots of people didn’t approve of the age difference since Alana is a minor. It’s technically not illegal for them to be together since the age of consent in their home state of Georgia is 16, but anyone who has been 16 probably remembers being 16 and that making grown-up decisions at that age probably ain’t it. Alana and Dralin are still going strong, though, and Alana was even recently seen wearing a diamond-looking ring on her special freak-out finger which got people talking. But, calm down everyone, she says they are NOT fixin’ to wed.
All of the speculation started a few days ago when Page Six first shared a series of photos welcoming Alana’s sister, Lauryn “Pumpkin” Efird’s newborn twins. Alana has lived with Lauryn since the days of Mama June’s addiction battles, with Lauryn recently being granted custody of Alana. People who care enough to closely inspect pictures of Honey Boo Boo noticed that she was wearing what looked like an engagement ring.

Someone from Alana’s team put the rumors to rest and informed Page Six that the ring doesn’t mean a thing.
In the pics, the “Dancing With the Stars: Juniors” alum was seemingly not trying to hide her big rock as she swept hair off her face with her left hand in one of the images. A rep for the “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo” alum told Page Six that Thompson is not engaged and that the sparkler is “just a ring.”
The main picture at the top of the post was from March 2021 and Alana is wearing a similar ring, although presumably on her right hand since she’s taking a mirror selfie. Any of these engagement speculators just stop to think that maybe she just decided to wear it on a different finger the day of her sister’s baby photoshoot? Eating salty foods (which I’m sure their pantry is stocked full of) can make your fingers swell up. I’m also now going to retreat back into the sea, silently with head down, as I spent this much time analyzing Honey Boo Boo’s fingers and Kay Jeweler’s ring placement
Alana and Dralin getting married at some point wouldn’t be that surprising, because ::puts on armchair psychologist glasses:: like some kids who come from disastrous families, she probably wants to get the hell out of there and latching on to someone older can make that happen sooner.
“Dralin and Alana are attached at the hip and hang out together all the time,” an insider told the outlet at the time. “He was quiet at first, but he’s like one of the family now. He’s just as fun and crazy as the rest of them.”

It hasn’t been a completely smooth road for Alana and Dralin, as they’ve also gotten shit from trashbag trolls for being in an interracial relationship. Time will tell if their “not engagement” turns into an actual engagement. I’ll (regretfully) pull up a front-row seat to analyze their wedding, which will be an utter disappointment, in my eyes, if ‘sketti, cheese balls, and “go-go juice” aren’t served from the finest Chinet and Dixie cups.
