Sarah Ferguson Stands By Ex-Husband Prince Andrew And Says She’d Marry Him Again If She Could Go Back In Time

After his family barred him from attending Sunday’s Garter Belt ceremony (or whatever the fuck it’s called), Prince Andrew was in desperate need of a public ego boost. So the disgraced Duke of York transferred some extra cash into Sarah Ferguson’s checking account and ordered her to sing his praises in a Times Radio interview. She complied. The most persecuted woman in the Royal Family says that her ex-husband is actually a very good man (we’ve heard this one before), and she will continue to “stand firmly” by him. The interviewer asked 62-year-old Original Fergie if she’d marry Andrew again if she could go back in time, and she replied that she would. Sweetie, if you are gonna time-travel back to the 80s, might I suggest advising your past self to take a beginner’s course in basic finance?

via The New York Post:

When asked if she would marry the Duke of York again if she could go back in time during an interview with the UK’s Times Radio, she replied, “Oh, yes. He’s a very good and kind man. He’s a good man.”

She even looked back fondly at the pair’s 1986 wedding day, calling it “exceptional and extraordinary.”

”I think my life is an amazing life,” Ferguson continued. “I think I’ve been very lucky. And I am now just beginning my life again. And I think it’s pretty cool to be able to say that.”

The interviewer asks Fergie how she and Andrew remained “the very best of friends” during their divorce and public scandals. She points that the exes “even share a house,” adding: “There must be so many people out there who’ve had acrimonious divorces who’d quite like to emulate what you’ve managed to achieve.” Yeah, Fergz and the Perv are, like, totally #ConsciousUncoupling goals. Here’s the Duchess of York’s reply, which is basically just a bullshit answer to brag about all her charity work:

“You know, I will stand very firmly by Andrew … a very good and kind man and that’s what I believe,” Ferguson revealed to interviewer Mariella Frostrup.

“We are divorced. I think it’s very important, Mariella, that people realize that I don’t spend long here in England because I don’t wish to. I’d much prefer being out.”

“I’ve built 156 schools in Africa and Poland. And, you know, and I just want to keep going doing my philanthropy work.”

Here’s a clip from the radio interview:

So there’s Fergie’s annual “my pervert ex-husband is a good man” interview. Perfectly serviceable. But maybe she should mix it up a bit for 2023? Somebody get the gal a thesaurus! Moral, virtuous, respectable, giving, altruistic, pleasant, caring. All fantastic substitutes for “good” and “kind,” and none of them suggest that the subject allegedly sexually assaults minors.
