Last month Rebel Wilson went on a podcast and revealed that she was “happily in a relationship.” Some (myself included) assumed she was talking about a new boyfriend. Well, today Rebel proved us dum-dums wrong: she posted a picture of her new girlfriend, Ramona Agruma, with the caption: “I thought I was searching for a Disney Prince… but maybe what I really needed all this time was a Disney Princess.” Rebel added heart and rainbow emojis, and captioned it #loveislove. A source tells People that Rebel’s in “an amazing place” and she’s never been happier. Awww, Happy Pride!
Here’s 42-year-old Rebel’s big post:
Ramona is a fashion designer/entrepreneur/jewelry brand ambassador type who lives in L.A. Last month Rebel told People that she and her new mystery partner had been set up through friends:
“We spoke on the phone for weeks before meeting. And that was a really good way to get to know each other,” she said. “It was a bit old-school in that sense — very romantic.”
“I think going through the process of finding more self-worth, I think that what you want in a partner is elevated and so it’s great to have someone who feels like an equal partner and be in a healthy relationship,” added Wilson. “There were times — I’m not saying with all my exes, they’re great — but there were some times that I was probably putting up with that I shouldn’t have. So it feels different to be in a really healthy relationship.”
I assumed Rebel was talking about Matt Reid, the Australian tennis player she was linked to at the end of last year. He was buddies with Rebel’s friend, Bachelor Australia star Brittany Hockley. But I was dead wrong, so slap me with a Birkenstock and call me stupid! The year before that, Rebel dated the Busch Beer heir, Jacob Busch.
Ramona’s Instagram has been set to private, but if you scroll through the last few months of Rebel’s Instagram, she’s all over the place:
Rebel and Ramona even went to the Superbowl and the Oscars together! The clues were all there, right in front of our stupid faces! And we missed them, just like Detective Chazz Palminteri at the end of The Usual Suspects. The greatest trick the gayelle ever pulled, was convincing the world she didn’t exist. And like that…. she’s out!
