An Australian Woman Woke From A Coma To Discover Her Fiancé Moved In With Another Woman

If you feel like complaining about your life today please listen to the story of The Coma Companion, which is not a limited BBC series (but should be). Unfortunately, this tale has been ripped from the pages of Brie Duval‘s life. After a freak accident left her in a coma for five months, Brie discovered, upon awakening, that her fiancé of four years had moved on to a new relationship, never once visiting her while she was in the hospital AND blocking her from ever contacting him again.

According to Too Fab, Brie, originally from Australia but living in Alberta, Canada at the time, took a 33-foot fall from a retaining wall across the street from a rooftop bar in August 2020. The miracle here is that even though she suffered multiple injuries and was given a ten percent chance at survival, she beat the odds and is still on the mend. However, that fall was merely a love tap compared to what she had to endure in the aftermath of waking up.

This whole thing sounds like the plot of a Hallmark Channel movie. But someone needs to take this story and remake the film Ghost, where the title takes on a completely different meaning than the original.
