A Source Says Gerard Pique Never Cheated On Shakira Because They Had An Open Relationship

Over the weekend Shakira and her footballer boyfriend, Gerard Pique, confirmed the rumors they were done after 11 years together. They share two sons, 9-year-old Milan and 7-year-old Sasha. Gossip said that 45-year-old Shakira caught 35-year-old Gerard fooling around with a much younger woman, so she kicked his ass to the curb. The lyrics to her new song, Te Felicito, support the cheater theory: “Do not tell me you’re sorry, that seems sincere, but I know you well and I know you lie” (unlike her hips). But wait! Journalist Jose Antonio Aviles went on the Spanish gossip show Viva la Vida, and says that he spoke with “someone very, very close to Pique.” His source claims that the couple had an open relationship. So Gerard couldn’t have cheated, cuz his wandering peen had a Shakira-sanctioned hall pass. Whenever, wherever, my man can share his nethers!

The journalist also alleges that while Shakira passed the split-announcement off like it was a joint statement, Gerard wasn’t actually in on it, via Marca:

“Someone very, very close to Piquehas assured me that there was no infidelity on his part,” the reporter stated. “There is great surprise at the breakup and the statement that Shakira has sent.”

The same journalist also claimed that the footballer and singer have had an “open relationship” over the past few years. “Their agreement was ‘you do what you want and I’ll do what I want’, but to present themselves as a couple to the public.”

Today Marca added that the Spanish news outlet 20minutos reported that Shakira was so in love with Gerard that she tried to get back together with him “at least once and possibly twice,” and moving out of their family home was all Gerard’s doing.

So, which break-up theory is your favorite? Either Gerard’s a dirty cheater and Shakira kicked him to the curb, OR they’re in an open relationship and Shakira lied about the so-called “joint statement,” OR Shakira is madly in love with Gerard and he wants nothing to do with her. My money’s on a (technically) open relationship, but Gerard abused it and got messy. Shakira got pissed and surprised him with the official statement. But do you know what this version is missing?
