Molly, the record-breaking guinea pig hoop star!
Well, it looks like a guinea pig from Hungary is better at basketball than me. Although, that’s not saying much since a half-corroded dingle is better at basketball than me. But now Molly the guinea pig from Dombóvár, Hungary is a certified hoop star because she dunked the ball 4 times in 30 seconds, making her a Guinness World Record holder. The internet tells me that Dwight Howard of the Los Angeles Lakers holds the record for the most recorded slam dunks with 2,910. What’s funny is that Dwight Howard has been extremely quiet ever since Molly won her world record. Dwight probably doesn’t want Molly to challenge him to a dunk-off. Dwight can’t take Molly’s heat!
Molly was crowned the Hoop Queen of the Guinea Pigs by Guinness World Record when she made 4 slam dunks in 30 seconds, setting the Guinness World Record for the most slam dunks in 30 seconds by a guinea pig. That line I just typed also confirms for the 8,985,888th time that Guinness has a World Record for absolutely everything. Here’s a scene from the only reboot of Hoosiers we need!

And according to Molly’s human Emma, Molly was having a slow day the day that she dunked her way to a record. Because in the past, she’s really set fire to that hoop by dunking her ball 8 times in half a minute.
The set-up included a set of little 4.4 cm diameter plastic spheres, indicators of distance and a tiny basket for Molly to perform her tricks.
Although Emma is delighted with the result, four wasn’t Molly’s best result on the basketball court to date. According to her, on some days, Molly can go up to eight slam dunks in thirty seconds.
However, four was more than enough to make Molly OFFICIALLY AMAZING™!
Well, it’s a good thing that guinea pigs aren’t allowed to play in the NBA or the likes of LeBron James and Steph Curry would have to practice saying the line, “You aren’t looking to hire a low-skilled assistant junior basketball coach?“, while checking to see if their local elementary school is hiring. Because they’d be out of a job!
