Cardi B Is Getting Dragged For Her Comments About The School Shooting In Texas
I realize Cardi B really believes she’s somehow morphed into the Voice of the People by speaking up on everything from her First World problems with fame to the current state of politics, but some of her followers kicked the soapbox she was standing on when she gave her thoughts on the heartbreaking massacre at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas. Cardi believes that the tragedy is a time when people should keep politics out of it, and well, that didn’t go over well.
Uproxx reports that Cardi wanted to offer words of encouragement by reminding people who are trying to politicize the tragedy with their own views to stop because people have lost loved ones and now is not the time for it.
These mass shooting events are not the time for political parties or you “social media politicians” to be pushing agendas. People have died! Y’all don’t care or have any consideration for what these families are going thru or how they feel or what they want.Think b4 speak.

But I will say although it’s fine to have opinions I doubt anyone is looking towards any celebrity to give their hot take on this one. True to form though, fans and critics alike began to come for Cardi, which is the wrong thing to do because we all know she’s like the Energizer bunny. Once she gets a Twitter rant started she keeps going;

Another Twitter user called out Cardi for “claiming to be this politically aware queen,” but then only caring about “yourself and your brand/image.” The Grammy winner refuted the thought by writing, “Baby I don’t give a fuvk about liberal ,conservative,Republican,democrats RIGHT NOW ! I give a fuck about the pain these people family are going through.”
Cardi ended by apologizing to anyone she offended. via Billboard:
Cardi concluded by apologizing to those she offended. “All mass shootings is a senseless act of violence due the easy access of guns, I would never want to stop the conversation pushing for gun reform,” she said. “I want it to, but comparing trauma because political views should not matter right now. Sorry to those who felt offended or hurt.”
Many others pointed out that you can feel for the victims while also pushing for some actual change. And I know that the Democrats want to toss the filibuster into the dumpster since it’s an obstacle in getting shit done, but if they ever need someone to filibust for their side, they should try to recruit Cardi. She’d fillibust the fillibust-iest fillibuster!
