Open Post: Hosted By Ugly Sonic In The “Chip ‘N Dale: Rescue Rangers” Movie

We all thought Ugly Sonic The Hedgehog was a fever dream thought up by some weird internet people (seriously, Sonic has a deranged, thirsty fandom online. Don’t look it up). But alas, it was real! After unveiling HUMAN TEETH Sonic to the public, the world said, “Put it back in. It’s not done yet!” For once, the loud terrified outcry of social media made a difference and Paramount Pictures changed the character design into something less haunting and in need of dental care. But Ugly Sonic has returned to grace our TV screens and nightmares!

Since we’re still into the whole nostalgia buzz, Disney decided to softly reboot Chip ‘N Dale: Rescue Rangers as a Disney+ film featuring the voices of John Mulaney and Andy Samberg. If you’re too young to remember, there was a beloved TV series featuring Chip and Dale as detectives who solved crimes alongside Monterey Jack, Zipper, and Gadget (terrifying fact: Gadget has an even more deranged, thirstier fandom online. For the love of God, do NOT look it up!). The film takes place after the series ended and the two chipmunks are just living their lives as washed-up actors. So whimsical! It’s sort of a meta-commentary on nostalgia and as Too Fab points out, features a number of cameos from cartoons of history past. Enter: Ugly Sonic. After being kicked off from the Sonic movie (and its sequel), Ugly Sonic has resorted to selling autographs at fan conventions.

Who in their right minds thought that we’d want to see this disgusting thing again? As a classic Sonic fan (guys, I’m a nerd), I can’t bring myself to embrace this abomination. I relegated it into the recesses of my mind! But not everyone is like me. The internet was happy to see this creep.

Guess I’ll just have to live with this monstrosity and put it in the list of “cartoons that make me uneasy” along with every character in The Last Unicorn, the bad guy from Who Framed Roger Rabbit?, and Instagram-era Madonna!
