Kim Kardashian, Ciara, Yumi Nu, And Elon Musk’s Mother All Got Their Own Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue Covers

There are four, count ’em, FOUR cover models for this year’s Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, and they are Kim Kardashian, Ciara, Yumi Nu, and Maye Musk. Yep, Elon Musk’s mom. The magazine says its 2022 swimsuit issue celebrates women “in an inclusive range of backgrounds and body types”, so I get why one of the models is 74-years-old, but… really? I can name loads of sexy 74-year-olds who didn’t bring Elon Musk into this world. Rhea Perlman, Ina Garten, and Sally Struthers would like a word!
The covers debuted today, and the write-up on the Sports Illustrated site says:
The four groundbreaking women were photographed separately in locations worldwide, from Dominican Republic to Barbados to Belize and Montenegro, with models as diverse in their stories as the locations they were photographed.
“The journey we’ve been on—to break out of the mold the world put us in—may sound familiar,” says SI Swimsuit editor in chief MJ Day. “It’s certainly familiar to the women we’ve chosen to be our cover models: Maye, Ciara, Yumi, Kim.”
Here are all the covers. First up is 41-year-old Kim Kardashian in the Dominican Republic. She poses titties out in a nude-colored suit. Groundbreaking:
Next up is 36-year-old Ciara in the Barbados, looking very sexy in leopard print and a cowboy hat:
Here’s 25-year-old recording artist/plus-sized model, Yumi Nu, in Montenegro:
And, finally, Maye Musk in Belize. The magazine notes that Maye has been modeling for 50 years, and became CoverGirl’s oldest spokesmodel at age 69. Sports Illustrated’s editor in chief MJ Day says, “At 74, Maye continues to work every day to inspire those around her”:
Sports Illustrated says that Maye Musk is also a “world-renowned dietician.” So, actually, she sounds like the absolute worst person to go to the beach with. “And then my Elon went to space and… oh my. Darling, do you really need that fourth piña colada and nachos? Why not try this delicious celery stalk instead? Or, even better, let’s do laps in the ocean!”
