Cardi B Claims She Was “Set Up” By A Club DJ Who Referred To Her As Nicki Minaj

I was beginning to worry about Cardi B since she hasn’t complained about anything in the past few days. We all know she hates being famous so in her absence, I was starting to think her life was finally going right, but then again I also figured maybe her phone was broken and she couldn’t access Twitter. In any case, all’s right with the world once more because Cardi is back again letting everyone know she has suffered yet another egregious tragedy in the spotlight of fame. And it all happened after a DJ referred to her as her rival Nicki Minaj.

According to Complex, Cardi was at the Wonderland club in New York City on Wednesday night to support her third child Offset, who was performing that evening. Everyone appeared to be having a great time, and why wouldn’t they when you get paid to drink in a club and mumble into a microphone for ten minutes. Well, the good times came to a crashing halt because Cardi is always looking for ways to show her ass at any moment, and not in the way we’ve become accustomed to either. At one point, DJ Reach grabbed the mic and gave a shout-out to Nicki Minaj. Now, you’re probably thinking “Wait, they were in the same room and Cardi didn’t snatch off Nicki’s wig and strangle her with it?” Unfortunately, no. But that would have been a much better story because the DJ was actually referring to Cardi as Nicki. And that was a big mistake.

“Shout out to Nicki Minaj in the muthafuckin’ building, let’s go!” the DJ shouted, as he played Nicki’s “Do We Have a Problem?” track. “Nicki, let’s fuck it up. Let’s go!”

Footage showed Cardi seemingly unfazed by the remarks, as others around her looked equal parts confused and annoyed.

Since in Cardi’s world, being referred to as Nicki Minaj is a cardinal sin, she got on the mic and called out DJ Reach for stirring shit up.

“Who is in the building tonight? ’Cause, we want all the fucking smoke, ya heard!?” she said before her and Megan The Stallion’s “WAP” began playing. “Are we getting dangerous tonight? DJ, are we getting fucking dangerous tonight?”

Cardi didn’t stop there and continued going off on an Instagram Live where she then placed the blame on her fans who fail to speak up for her whenever news outlets talk trash about her.

“Motherfuckers were trying to set me up and everything. And let me tell you something, I handle my business in real life,” she said. “I don’t think y’all really knew what was going on. I don’t think y’all understand what was going on, and when somebody tries to explain it, y’all coming sideways. And it’s, like, why?”

She continued: “I bet y’all didn’t know I got set up. I bet y’all not peeping that certain videos were made from professional cameras, because it was all a setup.”

Fast forward to next week when her fans finally stick up for her and she says something like “Why y’all all in my business?? God I hate y’all!” Because with Cardi, satisfaction is never a guarantee.
