53-Year-Old Marc Anthony Is Engaged To His 23-Year-Old Girlfriend Nadia Ferreira
It looks as though Marc Anthony is hearing wedding bells ringing in his ears! Then again, that ringing could be tinnitus (the man has played enough sold-out concerts to warrant at least entry-level hearing damage). But in this specific case, Marc Anthony is celebrating the beginning of a new chapter of his life. Yes, technically it’s a chapter he’s read a few times before, but the details have changed. 53-year-old Marc Anthony is currently engaged to his 23-year-old model girlfriend Nadia Ferreira.
We have been made aware of this joyful news, thanks to some hints dropped on Instagram by Nadia who was Miss Universe Paraguay 2021. Although I don’t know if I can describe them as “hints” if you’re posing front and center with an unobstructed view of the giant diamond on your left-hand ring finger that just so happens to be posed delicately against your other, ringless hand. I’ll have to double-check with the Celebrity Social Media Engagement Handbook for clarification on that. But according to Page Six, Nadia and Marc had to eventually confirm or deny whether that engagement-looking ring on Nadia’s hand was, in fact, an engagement ring. Yes, of course, it is.
After giving subtle glimpses of her diamond engagement ring all week on social media, the 23-year-old model confirmed Thursday that she and the 53-year-old singer are set to marry.
Page Six notes that this engagement hasn’t exactly been a long time coming. Three months ago, Marc and Nadia were seen on a trip to Mexico City. Two months ago, they went Instagram-official. And now they’re engaged. Marc’s most recent appearance on her Instagram page was three days ago when she and Marc hit up Disneyland for her 23rd birthday. Speaking of birthdays, here’s a fact that will bound to bring forth ten tons of awkwardness at the next Anthony family reunion: Nadia is younger than two of Marc Anthony’s kids.
Not too much is known about Nadia, but it could likely be assumed that this will be her first walk down the aisle. Meanwhile, this will be Marc’s fourth marriage and fifth engagement. Marc was engaged to actress Claudette Lali, before getting married to former Miss Universe Dayanara Torres in 2000 (they share two kids: 21-year-old Cristian and 18-year-old Ryan). After they split, Marc married Jennifer Lopez in 2004 (they also share two kids: 14-year-olds Emme and Max). After Jlo and Marc ended things, he married model Shannon De Lima in 2014. Marc also shares two older children, 28-year-old Ariana and 25-year-old Chase) with his ex Debbie Rosado.
Congratulations to Marc Anthony, who will soon be able to add another model-slash-beauty queen to his list of wives. Also a big congratulations to Jennifer Lopez, who can act as a mentor to Nadia. JLo and Marc are on pretty good terms for two divorced people, and I bet that JLo jumped at the chance to give Nadia some engagement pointers. Because nobody can work an engagement for press and attention like JLo. She can coach Nadia on exactly how to hold that ring in public, and help Nadia choreograph the speech she gives when someone asks how Marc proposed. “I said breathe, pause, closed eyes, sigh, hand to chest, breathe, smile, single tear! That single tear is coming in too early – wait for the smile. AND AGAIN.”
