Alec And Hilaria Baldwin Revealed The Gender Of Their New Baby In A Video Featuring The Entire Family

Alec Baldwin and Hilaria Baldwin have had a very eventful year. Hilaria is currently pregnant with the couple’s 7th child, but with the distractions of the Rust shooting putting a damper on sharing her pregnancy journey, as she is wont to do, she’s had to pivot her approach. In her great wisdom, Hilaria has opted to dedicate herself to being “thoughtful and inclusive on helping to curate a more gender inclusive world” because, as she says, “many of you know how connected I am to the LGBTQIA+ community.” And what better way to celebrate gender inclusivity than getting the whole familia together for a gender reveal video! Well, it’s actually more like a PSA featuring Hilaria, Alec, and all of the Baldwinitos of speaking age regurgitating a script Hilaria wrote about the importance of “honoring this whole little independent human, growing inside of me” and welcoming their new sibling. And it’s a — Drumroll please………

It’s a Multi Human! (Carmen, 8). And even though “all things human are fluid” (Raphael, 6) and “on the spectrum!” (Carmen again), IT’S A GIRL! Definitely a girl. No doubt about it. A girl who Leonardo, 5, encourages to “live freely in your cultures,” just like mamá. As the wise beyond his years Romeo, 3 ½, says “labels are lazy!” Hilaria apparently printed out the caption of her post last year on note cards, the one in which she came out at “culturally fluid,” and divvied them up to the kids to read aloud. And the results are chilling. In her post, Hilaira says “it’s always been both fun and meaningful for me to find out what is the sex of my baby, yet, as I grow and learn, I want to do it a bit differently this time around.” Which I guess means skipping the potential deadly pyrotechnics of a traditional gender reveal (and really, with Alec’s track record, it’s for the best) in lieu of a video that all 7 of Alec and Hilaria’s kids will be showing their therapists one day. I’m pretty sure Ireland Baldwin has already shared it with hers. According to People Magazine:

The Baldwins are adding another baby girl to their family.

On Monday, Hilaria Baldwin, 38, revealed that she and husband Alec Baldwin are expecting a daughter, sharing the exciting news on Instagram.

In a video featuring the whole family, Alec, Hilaria and their six children are each seen throughout the clip giving advice to their baby sister on the way.

In early April, Hilaria shared on her Instagram Story that she already knew the sex of her seventh baby on the way, but did not plan on revealing the news publicly for two reasons.

“1. I lost a baby at 4 months in 2019 (maybe some of you remember). I think about her daily and understand that motherhood has its beauty and its darkness,” Hilaria shared. “But I will wait until I’m past the point when I lost my daughter.”

“2. Many of you know how connected I am to the LGBTQIA+ community and I am talking with a few close confidants on how I can be thoughtful and inclusive on helping to curate a more gender inclusive world,” Hilaria continued.

Here’s the video. I feel like it should come with a trigger warning but I’m not sure what it would be. Let’s see: Over-rehearsed child acting? Stockholm syndrome? Over-rehearsed Alec Baldwin acting? You know what, Romeo is right. Labels are lazy. It’s fluid.

OK, so the new baby is definitely going to have a Spanish name just like the rest. I don’t care what Alec says, he’s clearly lost control of the situation. You don’t work for years to create familial synergy like this just to throw it all away because a bunch of ignorant bigots can’t get over your accent. As “is this bitch for real?” as this video is, what’s even more confusing are the people in her comments praising her for being an “ally.” And ally to whomst, now? Certainly not her beloved LGBTQIA+ community. But then I saw that the comment “This is #allyship. This is 💜” came from the Editor in Chief of People Magazine, and just started googling for an active volcano I could throw myself in. I’ll let you know if I find a good one.
