Steve Burton Announces That He And His Wife Have Split Up And The Baby She’s Pregnant With Isn’t His

Steve Burton played Jason Morgan on General Hospital from 1991 to 2012 and then he came back in 2017 but left the series again last year over their COVID-19 mandates. Welp! Looks like kicking his decent-paying gig to the curb after all those years over a vaccine was not the only big change in his life. Steve had some surprising news for fans as he revealed on Instagram that he and his wife of 23 years, Sheree Burton, are over and actually now she’s pregnant with someone else’s baby. …You can take the man out of the soap opera, but you can’t take the soap opera out of the man!

51-year-old Steve met 47-year-old fitness-type Sheree on the set of GH and they got married in 1999. They share three children: 18-year-old Makena, 7-year-old Brooklyn, and 16-year-old Jack. Well, they’re getting a sibling! General Hospital Blog first shared an image of Sheree announcing that she’s pregnant. She captioned the image, “Life sure is full of surprises.” Understatement.

Fans were probably throwing congratulations at Steve Burton, assuming that he was going to be a father again since the two never announced that they split up. But then Steve Burton delivered some soap opera-style DRAMA in his Instagram Stories by announcing that he and Sheree aren’t together anymore and she made a baby with a different man:

It’s not clear when they broke up or how long they’ve been separated but definitely long enough to get knocked up, I guess. Reps for Sheree did not respond to People when they asked for a comment.

Honestly, Steve’s life could not imitate his art any better. Actually, it totally could. Like, if Sheree was pregnant with his secret twin brother that nobody knew about who actually isn’t his twin brother but is his arch-nemesis after some amazing cosmetic surgery enacting a master plan? That would be even more soap opera-y.
