Blac Chyna Lost Her Lawsuit Against The Kardashians

Aw, and just when things started to get good (I really wanted someone to cross-examine Khloe Kardashian and ask her just how bad chaotic, toxic relationships were for the family brand). But it would appear as though Blac Chyna’s legal battle against the Kardashian family has come to a close, and Chyna is walking away with nothing. Okay, not nothing. She can sleep well tonight knowing that the courtroom sketch artist absolutely butchered the likenesses of her enemies. But when it comes to her bank account, she’s not doing any better than when she first entered that courtroom last month. Yesterday, a jury decided that Blac Chyna wasn’t financially fucked over by the Kardashians when her reality series Rob & Chyna wasn’t renewed for a second season.

After nearly five years, Chyna’s battle against the Koven has come to a close, and it’s not ending with a big fat check. Back in 2017, Chyna sued the Kardashians, including her former fiance and father of her daughter Dream, Rob Kardashian, claiming that Rob and his sisters and mother, Kris Jenner, plotted against Chyna and made sure she never got a second season of the 2016 E! series Rob & Chyna, which was rumored to have been greenlit for a second season, but that never materialized. So she decided to sue them all for $100 million. That lawsuit evolved into a “Chyna was too violent and toxic to be associated with the Kardashians” narrative, which was boosted by accusations of violence by Rob, like when he claimed that Chyna tried to choke Rob with an iPhone cord, or Chyna allegedly holding a gun to Rob’s head. Or, Chyna allegedly sending death threats to Rob’s little sister Kylie Jenner. In Chyna’s dreams, she probably heard the words, “We the jury find Blac Chyna…very rich and definitely not broke! Congratulations, Chyna! You won!“. NBC News says that the only ones celebrating today are the Kardashians.

A Los Angeles jury on Monday found that Kim Kardashian and her family did not unjustly harm the career of model Blac Chyna. The civil panel had been deliberating since Thursday and returned verdicts in favor of Kardashian, her mother, Kris Jenner, and her sisters Khloe Kardashian and Kylie Jenner.

The jurors couldn’t find enough evidence to prove that the Kardashians told lies about Chyna’s abusive behavior towards Rob, or that they gossiped about Chyna being an abusive mess, regardless of whether it was the truth or not. Jurors also added that they couldn’t find evidence that the Kardashians fucked around with Chyna’s contract with the E! network.

A lawyer for Team Kardashian released the following statement regarding their courtroom win, and needless to say, they’re pleased with the ruling:

After the verdict, attorneys for the Kardashian and Jenner family “expressed appreciation” for the jury and said they were “thankful for the steady hand” of Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Gregory Alarcon.

“The jury sent a clear message to Ms. White and her lawyer – I hope they are listening,” the attorneys said in a statement. “Justice has prevailed.”

That last part definitely sounds like a threat, and I would not be at all surprised to learn that it was. It is a very clear implication that the Kardashians do not have time for this bullshit. After all, the Kardashians have much more important things to do, like desecrating iconic fashion moments. But while the Kardashian family had lots to say about the decision, Blac Chyna, who was awarded no damaged, did not. NBC News notes that neither Chyna nor her legal team came forward with a comment after the ruling was made.

Shockingly, Chyna’s unfiltered mother Tokyo Toni also hasn’t had much to say about the decision. But there is currently a GoFundMe campaign that was launched yesterday by what appears to be Tokyo, in support of raising funds for her daughter to appeal the decision made by the courts yesterday. It has currently raised about $310 of the desired $400,000 goal. So, sorry Kardashians – but this might not be over just yet. Really, if that GoFundMe wants to increase donations at a breakneck speed, there needs to be a little change to the wording. The target shouldn’t be Blac Chyna fans but to Kardashian haters. “If you think the Kardashians were annoyed with Chyna dragging them into a courtroom trial, just think of how much more pissed off they’ll be if they get dragged into an appeal!
