Andy Cohen Welcomed His Second Baby, Daughter Lucy

Andy Cohen is officially a double-daddy! On Friday, the Bravo king/CNN jester took to Instagram to announce the arrival of his second baby via surrogate, daughter Lucy Eve Cohen. 53-year-old Andy welcomed his first son, Benjamin, back in February 2019. Ben may have gotten his very own Housewives-studded baby shower, but Lucy was a surprise (at least to the public), so she got zilch. Honestly? It’s a blessing. A champagne-fuelled Lisa Rinna table-“twerking” in honor of your birth has gotta unleash some sort of succubus youth-stealing curse. Poor Ben will look middle-aged by the time he hits puberty. Eventually, doctors will diagnose him with Jack (1996) disease,” but we’ll know the truth.

Here’s Andy’s initial Instagram announcement from Friday. He opens with, “HERE’S LUCY!” (a reference to Lucille Ball’s third sitcom), shares his newborn daughter’s stats and full name (likely a tribute to his parents, Lou and Evelyn Cohen), and thanks his surrogate:

Andy followed up with this very cute pic of Lucy in her hospital crib, and 3-year-old Ben meeting his baby sister:

Back in December 2019, Andy revealed that he had “at least one” embryo remaining after Ben was born earlier that year, and he said he was “thinking about” having another child. Last August he told E! News that he was open to the idea and “would love to see it happen soon.”

This afternoon Andy posted an Instagram Story of him and Lucy hanging out on the couch under a giant portrait of Dolly Parton. As Andy announces that there are “all-fresh episodes” of Watch What Happens Live airing this week (taped prior to his daughter’s arrival), Lucy does a side-eye to the camera, as if to say, “Seriously, dad? I’m 70-hours-old, and you’re already using my newborn visage to plug your shit?”:

I like her already.
