Susan, the Meryl Streep of Cats!

Actually, it’s inaccurate to call Susan the Meryl Streep of cats since obviously, Meryl Streep is the Susan of humans! Over at the subreddit r/cats, Redditor u/almond0373 posted a video (which auto-plays and is after the cut) of her cat Susan pulling theatrics to get inside the house. Susan pretends to be injured so that her human will take pity upon her and let her in. Susan is desperately seeking an Oscar (and she deserves one!) and is also adding fuel to the fire that is my love of pets with human names.

In the video, Susan sits on the outside deck all lady-like until her human asks, “Something wrong with your paw, Susan?” And that’s Susan’s cue to turn it the hell up like she’s trying to get a full-ride scholarship to Juilliard. Susan’s thespian pussy ass pretends like she’s got a jacked-up paw and limps on over to the door and then once she’s in the house, she sashays away like nothing. It’s a miracle!

Purrsonally, I can’t wait for the explosive true crime Netflix documentary that exposes Susan as a highly-trained con artist who pretends she’s injured to get into the homes of humans she later robs of Fancy Feast and tuna fish. And well, since this is the internet, other Redditors chimed in to push the hateful myth that ginger cats are dumber than a dried dingle, while others defended their ginger pussies. via Newsweek:

Many agreed that Susan was very smart. However, the video sparked a discussion about coat color. Those touting the popular myth that orange cats are “dumber” than their feline counterparts joked that Susan was smarter than the average orange cat. Others, meanwhile, argued that orange cats aren’t dumb at all.

“What a smart kitty. They definitely got their turn with the orange brain cell,” wrote u/edge-of-cedars-girl.

“Brain cell working on overdrive to pull this off,” joked u/silence_infidel in response.

“Dang this ginger must have 2 brain cells and not just the normal 1,” said u/dkmrcc.

Of course, several users claimed that their orange cats are “very intelligent.” Redditor u/iAmTheElite even went so far as to call tuxedo cats “the true dumdums.”

Well, at least we can all come together and agree that Susan is a genius performer. And I bet somewhere a bitter Jared Leto is whining, “Oh, so when I pretend to be disabled for my art, I get called an offensive piece of narcissistic trash but when a cat does it, everyone ooohs and awws.” Yeah, exactly. And?
