Rihanna And A$AP Rocky Had A Rave-Themed Baby Shower, And Cops Searched His House And Found Guns

So, there’s fun news and not-so-fun news out of Camp Rihanna and A$AP Rocky. Let’s start with the fun: the couple hosted an intimate rave-themed baby shower in Hollywood last Friday. Now for the not-so-fun: TMZ reports that cops searched A$AP Rocky’s home in connection to his recent arrest, and they found multiple guns. Detectives will run ballistic tests on the weapons to see if any of them are connected to the alleged shooting incident back in November, but TMZ is already reporting that sources close to Rocky quickly determined that the  “lawfully purchased and legally registered” weapons aren’t connected at all. Oh, phew! It’s just a bunch of innocent guns.

TMZ’s “close to Rocky” sources insist that these guns were so clearly unconnected to the alleged shooting, that they were never even seized from the home. But TMZ’s law enforcement sources say otherwise. They insist they were taken, for ballistic tests and so cops could run background to determine their origins or if they’d been reported stolen.

Rocky has yet to be charged with any crime. Cops surprise-arrested him at LAX on 4/20 (which is basically Rihanna’s birthday!) for assault with a deadly weapon. A$AP Rocky’s team wanted to know why the police didn’t just ask him to voluntarily surrender, and, apparently, they wanted to catch him before he had the chance to get rid of the alleged weapon. Which allegedly shot at a man three or four times during an argument in Hollywood on November 6. And an alleged bullet allegedly grazed this mystery man’s alleged hand.

As for the baby shower, a source tells ET that RiRi and Rocky thought about canceling the celebration because they wanted to keep a low profile. And, you know, it was two days after the big arrest. But they decided to go ahead with the party on Friday night “because they felt it was important to surround themselves with family and close friends”:

“They flew out some family and friends from Barbados,” says the source, who added that the invite list was “very intimate.”

The source adds that doing a shower together was always the plan, noting, “Rihanna didn’t want a shower for just the ladies, they’re in this together, it was always going to be a joint celebration.”

As for the theme, it’s no surprise the couple opted for something a little edgier than a simple brunch. “Rihanna has a great sense of humor and loves to have fun,” says ET’s source.

Guests were asked to wear neon outfits, not take any pics or videos, and they got to take home these cute T-shirts to remember the occasion:

I haven’t been to a rave for 15 years, but I remember one totally fucked up girl dancing and sucking on a pacifier (hey, fits the baby shower theme!) to stop her from grinding her teeth so hard. Cuz, you know… 2007 ecstasy. Do the kids even do good ol’ rat poison-ecstasy anymore, or is it all MDMA? Or some new, cool drug I haven’t heard of, like “scrub,” or “blonkers,” or “X Æ A-12”?
