Britney Spears Says Kevin Federline Wasn’t Exactly The Most Supportive Husband During Her Second Pregnancy

By now, Britney Spears has made it very clear that she’s more than happy to vent on social media about whatever fly is stuck in her sugar bowl that day, and she’s also established that anyone could get called out at any time. Her father, her mother, her sister, her sister again, her former management company. Generally, Britney’s ex-husband Kevin Federline has managed to PopoZão his way out of the line of fire, but it looks like his time has finally come. Because Britney decided to drag Kevin down memory lane with her. However, KFed’s lawyer denies Britney’s claims.

Earlier this month, Britney Spears announced that she’s pregnant with her and her fiancé Sam Asghari’s first child. This will be Britney’s third child. She shares two sons with Kevin Federline: 16-year-old Sean Preston and 15-year-old Jayden James. Two months after Jayden was born, Britney filed for divorce from Kevin Federline after two years of marriage. Those same people will likely remember what Britney’s back-to-back pregnancies were like. Essentially, Britney and Kevin were photographed together constantly, and things generally appeared good from the outside.

But what people didn’t know, at least according to Britney Spears, is that things were shit, and Kevin was sometimes nowhere to be found while Britney was at her most trimester-y. Britney unloaded on K-Fed in an extensive Instagram post, which has since been deleted. In it, she explains that she’s currently feeling nauseous and that she feels so blessed to currently have a baby in her body. After getting all the nice talk about pregnancy out of the way, that’s when Britney revealed that Kevin allegedly wouldn’t make time for a pregnant Britney, even after she flew to New York and Las Vegas, due to his commitment to filming a music video. via Uproxx:

“My ex-husband wouldn’t see me when I flew to New York with a baby inside me and Las Vegas when he was shooting a video !!!” she wrote. “And as my brother’s best friend shows up to support a very pregnant woman in Vegas because he felt and PLAYED IT OFF TALKING AND EATING ICE ALL NIGHT !!! I swear I like huge pickles and biting down on ice [ice cube emoji] literally every day !!!”

She continued, ” I was so weird … As the ice hit my tongue I got a text saying ‘If you don’t divorce Kevin he will publicly do it to you ….’ Since I hadn’t seen him in a while I already knew it was over.”

As mentioned above, Kevin’s side of the story is that none of that is true. Well, maybe Britney’s cravings for huge pickles and ice chips. But not the part about Kevin ditching a pregnant Britney when she attempted to fly out to see him. TMZ caught up to K-Fed’s lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan last night as he was exiting dinner at a restaurant, and he defended Kevin, saying that he wasn’t the deadbeat Britney was making him out to be.

Kaplan called her out, saying her account “is completely the opposite of what’s true, she knows that,” adding this warning … “She should be very careful about pursuing a dialogue that’s based on revisionist history.”

In case that threat was too oblique, Kaplan got more specific … “That story about Kevin in Las Vegas and Britney is completely erroneous, and he’s not going to stand by and let that story besmirch what he did and his support of her back in the day.”

“But when she starts talking about the way things were when Jayden and Preston were infants that’s completely fabricated. Kevin is not going to let that stand by and let that be the portrayal of fact.”

And, for what it’s worth, Kevin Federline couldn’t be characterized as a deadbeat today, as he has maintained the majority of custody over Sean Preston and Jayden James in a generally drama-free way.

Since Britney pulled her Instagram post, I’m willing to bet the choice was the result of Mark Vincent Kaplan possibly making a call to Britney’s people and putting on his most serious lawyer voice. So we don’t really know who is telling the truth here. But if Britney’s memory is correct, and Kevin did ditch her for a music video shoot, I’m willing to give him a pass. Kevin had so few pots on the stove, so to speak. And imagine – someone actually wanted him in a music video. Just Kevin! That’s the kind of relevance-based opportunity you don’t turn down (at least when you’re K-Fed).
