Big Sean Says That He Got Paid Way, Way, Way Less Than Harry Styles For Coachella Despite Rivaling Crowd Size

This past weekend, the Coachella Valley in California saw a gaggle of influencers take a billion selfies while done up like rejects at a Mad Max-themed rave and that could mean only one thing: It’s Coachella time. The first week of Coachella (the influencer photo-shoot location that is also a musical festival) happened over the weekend. Friday night’s headliner was Harry Styles and Big Sean also performed that day. And when it was pointed out that Big Sean’s crowd was just as big as Harry Styles, he let everyone know that Coachella got him at a major discount!

For obvious reasons (CORONAVIRUS in my Cardi B voice) the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival has been on hiatus since 2020 and is finally back in full swing this year boasting musical acts such as Big Sean and Harry as well as Kanye’s greedy understudy The Weeknd x Swedish House Mafia, Billie Eilish, City Girls, and more. On Friday night, Big Sean took to the stage and brought out the reigning Diva of drugs, dick, and depression Jhene Aiko, solidifying their place in history as two of the sexiest Smurfs to ever hit the Coachella stage at the same time.

I’m sure Sean and Jhene left the stage thinking” Yeah! We ripped that shit. Let’s go smoke” but unfortunately their celebration started a wee bit too soon. Because even though their set was well-received Harry had a few tricks up his sleeve. During his set, Harry revealed his Coachella outfit, which looked like the offspring of a Studio 54 disco ball and a Pride flag:

But that’s not where all the glamour and glitter stopped! Soon afterward Harry gave the people what they’ve been missing by singing “Man, I Feel Like A Woman“….with THEE  Shania Twain.

Jhene and Sean were probably backstage thinking “Yo….this weed got me trippin’” and I completely understand because I would have thought the same thing. And while Sean may come out ahead in an actual dick measuring contest, it was close in the dick measuring contest known as, “Who had the biggest Coachella crowd?” The Independent reports that when it was pointed out that Sean and Harry both brought in the crowds, Sean dropped that his check was a lot smaller.

Sean was performing on the Sahara stage immediately before Styles’ headline set on the main stage on Friday (15 April) night.

TMZ reported that Sean’s crowd could have split audiences had they been performing at the same time due to the rapper’s popularity.

In a now-deleted post, Sean shared TMZ’s article on his Instagram Story, with the caption: “Except he got paid way, way, way, way more than me.”

Even though he joked about the pay disparity it doesn’t seem like Sean was upset about it because I’m sure a small Coachella check is still way more than anything we’d make for walking around a stage spitting words into a microphone for a few minutes. So I guess the real losers are the ones who paid top dollar to see them during this super spreader event risking it all against COVID and desert dehydration. But hey, at least Shania was there, right?
