Jennifer Lopez Recounts The Tearful Bubble Bath When Ben Affleck Proposed To Her
After teasing her fans by blinding them with a ring that may or may not have been for an engagement, Jennifer Lopez finally admitted that YES, she and Ben Affleck are going to try again. And now, because she’s getting all of the attention (which is her true soulmate) J. Lo is spilling her guts in her newsletter (HA!) about how romantic and lovely it was when her fiancé rushed into her bathroom while she was soaking in her own juices, and popped the question.
I’m really not sure how romantic this all could have been since they’ve both done this before, with each other AND with other people. But, J. Lo felt like she needed to let everyone know how everyone’s least favorite Batman proposed. And according to People, J. Lo wrote a note in her newsletter to update her adoring fans about how wonderful it was to hear the words “Will you marry me?” again.
“Did you ever imagine your biggest dream could come true?” she began the newsletter. “Saturday night while at my favorite place on earth (in the bubble bath), my beautiful love got on one knee and proposed. I was taken totally off guard and just looked in his eyes smiling and crying at the same time trying hard to get my head around the fact that after 20 years this was happening all over again, I was quite literally speechless and he said, ‘is that a yes?’ I said YES of course that’s a YES.”
Yeah, I don’t think that’s how it went. In my mind I see Ben stumbling into the bathroom to take a piss and J. Lo cursing him out for interrupting her bubble time. He burps, says “My bad. Wouldn’t matter if we were married.” and she gives him the finger in acceptance. That’s probably how their proposal really went, but J. Lo wanted to terrorize us all with more fairytales.
“I was smiling so big and tears were coming down my face, feeling so incredibly happy and whole. Iot was nothing fancy at all, but it was the most romantic thing I could’ve ever imagined…just a quiet Saturday night at home, two people promising to always be there for each other.”
“Two very lucky people. Who got a second chance at true love,” concluded Lopez.

The Daily Mail adds that Bennifer 1.0 are still looking for a quaint love nest to call their own after the deal to buy a $55 million Bel-Air estate fell through. They were papped looking at Spelling Manor, which is on the market for $165 million. Well, if they end up buying and moving into that cute, little 21.5 bath bungalow, there probably won’t be any more special bubble bath moments that JLo can write about in her newsletter. Because it’ll take Ben HOURS to find out which bathroom JLo is taking a bath in!
