Ireland Baldwin Got “FaceTite,” A Type Of Liposuction, On Her Chin

Ireland Baldwin is on the mend after getting a cosmetic procedure on her chin. The 26-year-old shared two selfies to Instagram, which showed her face wrapped up in bandages. Ireland got “FaceTite,” a minimally-invasive form of liposuction. The plastic surgeon makes a few incisions on the lower half of the face and uses radiofrequency waves and lipo to suck out fatty tissue and pull in the skin. There’s no need for anesthesia or an overnight hospital stay. Good! No chance of daddy Alec Baldwin and step-mamá Hilaria Baldwin bringing their growing horde of sticky little Baldwinitos in for a hospital visit during COVID times.

Here’s Ireland’s first post-procedure picture on Instagram:

And another (holy shit, she looks like mom Kim Basinger here), with her cousin Alaia Baldwin (Hailey Bieber’s sister):

Apparently, Ireland got a lot of online hate for being open about her procedure. So yesterday she posted a TikTok to address her haters. She says that, contrary to what people think, she’s never had any work done before this. Zero lip filler, plastic surgery, nada. She explains that, even though it’s none of our business, she wanted to be fully transparent about getting FaceTite, which she described as “a minimally invasive, hour-long, in-office procedure.”

Ireland’s goal was to remove a “very stubborn pocket of fat and extra skin under my face.” She says this fat had nothing to do with her weight; it still existed when she had “an array of eating disorders in my life, and I was scary skinny.” And, as she’s gained weight and gotten older, Ireland says the fat has gotten worse. She adds:

I tried to find the most age-appropriate and minimally invasive option for someone who is 26-years-old. For all the older hags out there, who are like, “You’re 26! What are you doing to yourself?” I am 26. I’m a woman. I’m not underage. I’m a consenting adult who made this choice, and I couldn’t be happier.

I don’t plan on getting anything else done, I am grateful for the body I have, and I wouldn’t change anything else about myself. This was something that really, really, really bothered me my whole life, and I decided to do something about it.

Here’s the video:

Six days ago, before the procedure, Ireland posted this essay on Instagram. She wrote about getting hate on social media, her struggles with anxiety, body image, and eating disorders, and how she related to a similar post from Camila Cabello. She also gave her followers a head’s up that she was going to get some work done on her chin:

On the third slide of that post, Ireland takes aim at people who call her names. She writes that she isn’t insulted when people call her “fat” or “pig” because “fat is beautiful” and pigs are adorable. And smart. SO joke’s on you.”  Yeah, DAD. Pigs aren’t “thoughtless,” they’re actually the fifth-most intelligent animal in the world!
