Brooklyn Beckham And Nicola Peltz Have Tied The Knot

In #thesecontinuedtryingtimes, it’s refreshing to see two young people willing to take a chance on love and the opportunity to deny Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner an invitation to the swankiest wedding in recent Palm Beach history, in one fell swoop. Over the weekend, hundreds gathered at Nelson Peltz and Claudia Heffner’s lavish estate for their 27-year-old actress/model/heiress daughter Nicola Peltz, and 23-year-old aspiring chef/former amateur photographer/probable future DJ Brooklyn Beckham’s, very first weddings.

The couple was officially pronounced man and wifey by a rabbi in front of 600 guests which included the groom’s family, anti-spice dry toast girl Victoria Beckham and soccer star David Beckham, Nicola’s parents and her seven siblings, all of whom I hope are already married or planning to elope. They were all joined by a bevy of celebrity guests including Venus and Serena Williams, Gordan Ramsey, Eva Longoria, Gigi Hadid, Nicole Richie, Michael Bay, M. Night Shyamalan, and Elizabeth Hurley. According to People, David Blaine performed magic for the guests during the cocktail hour, and Marc Anthony performed during the reception on a rotating stage. Not too shabby considering Brooklyn’s meager salary as a person who arranges pre-cooked food on a plate and calls it his own. People reports:

Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz are husband and wife!

The couple tied the knot on Saturday in Palm Beach, Florida, at an elegant black-tie affair held on Peltz’s family estate, with plenty of room for three oceanfront tents.

Nicola, 27, and Brooklyn, 23, planned a multi-day celebration with guests arriving on Friday for welcome cocktails ahead of Saturday afternoon’s wedding and reception. The nuptials included a traditional Jewish ceremony, with Nicola’s grandma serving as her maid of honor, a source tells PEOPLE exclusively.

According to the insider, orchids hung from the ceiling for the chuppah while the “short but sweet” ceremony also featured an elevated runway, with water and floating flowers on each side. The bride and groom did their own vows in front of their nearly 600 guests and a rabbi.

Page Six adds that Brooklyn will be taking Nicola’s last name as his new middle name, making them Mr. and Mrs. Peltz Beckham. Naturally, the wedding was covered extensively by Vogue. Nicola wore a Valentino Haute Couture gown which her stylist called “the most beautiful dress she’s ever seen.” It looks like Nicola and Brooklyn opted to not wear their matching gold wisdom teeth down the aisle, but Brooklyn did wear a diamond chain that was a gift from his new in-laws.

“He wore it Friday night as an upscale wallet chain, and on the night of the wedding as a formal chain attached to the front of his evening jacket,” says Ko, who was a guest at the ceremony. “They were bezel set emerald-cut diamonds.”

You know what they say, diamonds are a rude boy’s best friend. Here’s the most beautiful dress you will ever see, at least until we get a look at what Kourtney Kardashian decides to wear to her real wedding. All bets will be off for that highly anticipated occasion.

Poor Brooklyn, imagine getting outposed by two out of three members of your own wedding party, including your dad. People notes that in lieu of gifts, “Nicola’s father asked for donations to be made in support of Ukraine during his wedding speech.” Lord knows they don’t need another pizza stone that Brooklyn doesn’t know how to use. Vogue adds:

After the ceremony, guests mingled over cocktails decorated with seasonal white cherry blossoms as a jazz quartet played, then a 12-piece live band took over the entertainment for the black-tie dinner in the wedding tent, which had been decorated by HMR Designs with garden roses layered with peonies, petite white ranunculus, spray roses and hydrangea. In addition to the traditional speeches—including those from Brooklyn’s best men, his brothers Romeo and Cruz—the father-of-the-groom David Beckham delivered a heartfelt tribute to his eldest son and his new daughter-in-law. When dinner, masterminded by Thierry Isambert Culinary and Event Design, was over, the newlyweds had their first dance to “Only Fools Rush In,” performed by rising South African artist Lloyiso.

If you watched Nicola and and Brooklyn’s Vogue Match Game video, you’ll know that the first dance was what Nicola was most worried about. So she was taking either no chances, or all the chances in the world, with her selection of footwear.

Long live true love, but RIP Brooklyn’s toes.
