Open Post: Hosted By Lindsay Lohan Reflecting On Her Past Looks

Lindsay Lohan did a video for Vogue where she “breaks down” eighteen of her looks from 1998 to present day. Lilo starts with the red carpet premiere of The Parent Trap and finishes with a promotional photo of her and Chord Overstreet on the set of Netflix’s upcoming Christmas rom-com, Falling for Christmas. Unfortunately, Vogue omitted every single one of her mid-2000s crotch flashes. Booo!
35-year-old Lindsay cringes at a photo from 2002 where she’s wearing a Juicy sweatsuit with flip flops and a scarf. She explains that she was going for an Avril Lavigne vibe, inspired by her role as a rocker chick in Freaky Friday. For her role in Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen, she says she asked to dress like Britney Spears. Lindsay also looks back on all the the outfits she wore while hosting the 2004 MTV Movie Awards, and admits that she insisted on having more costume changes than when Sarah Jessica Parker hosted in 2000. She goes on to share that she wanted to play Regina George in Mean Girls, but the director and Tina Fey convinced her to stick with Cady. Then she reflects on her “changing for fashion” days, circa 2005. You know, when she initially lost a bunch of weight and went blonde. Lindsay says:
No one wanted me to dye my hair blonde. Everyone was like, do not do that. You’re going to ruin your red hair… especially, like, my mom. This is the problem. When you go from red to blonde, and you do it in a rush, it goes yellow. This is the true hard fact. Don’t change your natural red hair.
Lindsay looks at a photo of herself, Felicity Huffman, and Jane Fonda on the red carpet for 2007’s Georgia Rule, and recalls Jane’s reaction when she showed up to set a mere three minutes late:
It was out that I was, like, three hours late. It was three minutes. She was waiting for me, tapping her foot, being like, “Lindsay! We’re all waiting!” I was so embarrassed, it never happened again.
Um, sure Lilo. Vogue included a photo of Lindsay posing with the late Karl Lagerfeld, and she sang his praises. She claims that the late designer “treated me like his daughter,” and even wrote Dina Lohan an adoption letter so he could travel with her to Paris. If Karl Lagerfeld offers to adopt you, my usual advice would be, “RUN, BITCH!” But taking over for Dina and Michael Lohan? Maybe little Lilo would have been better off.
