Jennifer Lopez Was Seen Wearing A Diamond Ring On That Finger

Jennifer Lopez has been dating Ben Affleck for a little less than a year in technical time (but what feels like an exhausting incalculable number of days in emotional time). As such, there has been plenty of talk about whether or not Ben and JLo will do what they did way back when and get engaged again. But according to JLo, the general public would never get to bear witness to Ben dropping down to one knee in the middle of a crowded street, transferring his Dunkin’ iced coffee into the crook of his elbow, and presenting a ring box to Jennifer Lynn Lopez. Because JLo wanted a private proposal. But she never said anything about a big public engagement ring reveal. And that might have been what JLo did when she was recently photographed shopping for home goods with one of her kids.

TMZ says that on Monday, JLo and one of her twins, Emme, were seen strolling around a housewares store looking for stuff to fill her and Ben’s new $50 million estate with. And on her ring finger was a diamond ring:

It definitely appears to be the type of ring a person like JLo would accept from a person like Ben Affleck during what could have possibly been a marriage proposal. Of course, a ring could just be a ring, right? Well yes, technically, but then TMZ notes that once JLo caught on that there was a photographer with a telephoto lens pointed at her left hand, she quickly flipped the ring around so that the stone was tucked into her palm, and only a band was visible from the outside.

If that diamond ring is what it appears to be, then this would be JLo and Ben’s second engagement. The two previously got engaged back in November 2002. If they follow through this time, this will be Ben’s second marriage and JLo’s fourth. JLo was also engaged to Alex Rodriguez three years ago. So, thoughts and prayers are with A-Rod today. Seeing that ring (and the subsequent attempt to hide it) probably brought up some sad feelings in his pumped-up pecs. He’s likely asking himself, what does Ben have that A-Rod doesn’t? A-Rod has fame, mansions, money, and an aggressive jawline too. Does A-Rod need a movie career to woo JLo back? No, A-Rod, don’t do that! Nobody needs A-Rod’s attempt at a Deep Water-style erotic thriller!
