Joe Exotic Is Engaged To A Former Fellow Inmate And Is Seeking A Divorce From His Husband Dillon Passage

I don’t think a single person on the planet is watching Joe vs Carol on Peacock, which premiered last month to a chorus of toothless crickets, but according to People, the man himself, 59-year-old Joseph Maldonado-Passage aka Joe Exotic, is in love, and plans to marry his fiancé, John Graham, just as soon as he gets a divorce from his current husband, 25-year-old Dillon Passage. Not much is known about Joe’s new love other than the two met in prison where Joe is currently serving a 22-year sentence for attempting to have his big cat rescue rival Carol Baskin murdered. I guess Joe can thank Cardi B for not following through on starting that GoFundMe to have him released from prison for his new lease on life. Cardi knows her way around the criminal justice system, maybe she can officiate!

Most prison proposals happen through the mail, but Joe is in the enviable position of having been served love on a platter, right next to the cold canned beans that are slid under his cell door. People reports:

Joseph Maldonado-Passage, aka “Joe Exotic,” is ready to begin a new chapter in his life fiancé John Graham.

In a new press release obtained by PEOPLE, Joe’s attorney, Autumn Beck Blackledge, said the 59-year-old Tiger King star is interested in ending his marriage to husband Dillon Passage in order to pursue a “new love interest.”

“Mr. Maldonado-Passage is seeking a divorce from jail,” said Blackledge, “because he desires to marry his new love interest, Mr. John Graham whom he met in prison.”

Blackledge added that Joe’s fiancé “has recently been released from prison and is not taking interview requests or making comments at this time.”

At this time” is doing a lot of heavy lifting in this statement. If Joe’s new love wasn’t deterred by the rabid interest in all things Tiger King following the Netflix documentary, then he’s definitely into it.

According to People, Joe and Dillon officially broke up last year, and both blame each other for not responding to paperwork sent by their respective attorneys. Joe officially filed for divorce just yesterday and he’s already complaining he’s been left on read.

But according to Page Six, Dillon made an attempt to file for divorce first.

Dillon Passage denies “Tiger King” star Joe Exotic’s claim that he is avoiding signing their divorce papers, exclusively telling Page Six that Exotic is the one who has been dodging it.

“I hired attorneys in September of last year in Texas, Kirker Davis law firm,” Passage explains.

“They worked directly with Joe’s attorney, Francisco Hernandez, on multiple occasions to draw up paperwork, which was approved by Joe’s legal counsel.”

He then alleges, “Joe refused to sign the first draft.”

Passage, 25, claims his attorneys were forced to write up a second draft with all of Exotic’s terms, which was “again approved by Joe’s counsel, and yet Joe refused to sign.”

In his filing, Joe is requesting alimony because he is “in need of, and entitled to, temporary, rehabilitative, durational, bridge-the-gap, and lump sum alimony in order to continue to maintain the standard of living established by the parties during the marriage, and to provide for an equitable distribution of the parties’ assets,” along with asking that Dillon keep a life insurance policy for himself “in an amount sufficient to meet his support obligations to the Petitioner in the event of the Respondent’s death.” I’m like damn, how expensive is prison? How much can a packet of ramen noodles be? No more than $500, I’m sure! As for Dillon, he’s also moved on and has a new boyfriend and what seems to be a thriving business on OnlyFans. Page Six reports:

Passage tells us in response to the filing, “This is the first time I’ve heard how [he] is taking a step forward in the direction of a finalized divorce, and I am happy to get this finished as soon as possible. My attorneys will be in contact with his.”

So yes, I’d day homeboy is more than ready to dip.
