Maralee Nichols Wants $47,000 A Month In Child Support From Tristan Thompson
After vehemently denying fatherhood and subsequently getting his very own Maury Moment™, serial cheater Tristan Thompson finally admitted that former fitness model Maralee Nichols’s newborn child was his. This came after she repeatedly claimed that they slept together multiple times while his then-girlfriend Khloé Kardashian was pregnant with daughter, True. Since the big reveal, Tristan and Maralee have been embroiled in an ongoing child support battle. And Maralee appears to be an ardent proponent of the phrase “Go big or go home” because she’s requesting over $47,000 a month from Tristan. Tristan better start going to a doctor to help rid him of his latex allergy. It’ll save him the bucks and embarrassment!
Maralee believes she and her son Theo are entitled to the cash because Tristan supposedly makes over $800,000 and can spare the change. Not only that, but his other OTHER baby mama Jordan Craig is getting about that much in child support. These adorable babies need their designer kicks, dammit! According to Us Weekly:
The fitness model, 31, filed the papers in Los Angeles on March 4. “With regard to child support, using Tristan’s income of $9.7 million alone and Maralee’s income of $0, Maralee at this time requests guideline monthly child support of $47,424,” court documents seen by Us Weekly read. She also asked that the NBA star, 30, be ordered to pay her attorney fees, which exceed $1 million.
The filing estimated Thompson’s monthly income to be at least $810,075. Nichols, for her part, claimed that her expenses are $22,263 per month, adding, “Theo and I are living at a far depressed standard of living than Tristan.”
The former personal trainer alleged that before she gave birth, she spent more than $2,000 per month dining out and “expects these expenses will resume once Theo gets older and COVID-19 restrictions are lifted.” She also claimed that she spends $3,500 per month on clothes, explaining, “I have made a tremendous effort to reduce my spending. Previously, my average month’s expenses for clothing were in excess of $5,000 a month.”
Nichols went on to claim that she is living in an apartment with a roommate, while Thompson allegedly has not paid her any money yet and has a “lavish celebrity lifestyle.”
I can believe that Tristan hasn’t really done much for Maralee and their son considering his initial reaction to her pregnancy news. But what I can’t really wrap my head around is how she calculated the $22,000 estimate in expenses. I guess we’ll all be spending that much soon if these gas prices keep going up!
In addition to the eye-watering amount requested by the unemployed fitness model, the court filings also revealed that Tristan was supposedly planning on marrying Khloé! via Page Six:
Tristan Thompson allegedly told Maralee Nichols in messages sent over Snapchat that he was engaged to Khloé Kardashian.
“I’m engaged but I will be married soon. I told you I won’t and can’t be in the child life at all by no means … Why not wait till yoj [sic] find the right person to have a family with,” Thompson allegedly wrote to Nichols in messages that are part of a new court filing seen by Us Weekly.
“Why would you want a baby with a man that’s engaged. You wanna keep a mistake.”
Other messages in the filing state Thompson, 30, spent $2 million on the supposed engagement ring for Kardashian. In May 2021, Thompson told Nichols that he and Kardashian, with whom he shares daughter True, planned to move out of the US.
“Just a heads up me and my fiancè [sic] gonna announce publicly about out [sic] marriage,” he allegedly wrote. “Just a heads up. We probably moving out the country in September and live either in Europe or Caribbean. Better living for us and our family away from the bs of America.”
Oh, Tristan. Sure you were. Not only did he try the “I’m a taken man. How dare you?!” tactic AFTER repeatedly sleeping with the woman, but he also threw in the “I’m moving to France!” for good measure. And, of course, he’s claiming the texts are fake. When Tristan panics, he P-A-N-I-C-S! Did he go so far as to don a fake mustache and start calling himself Ristran Rhompson? I guess we’ll have to wait for the Kardashian show on Hulu to find out!
