Here’s The Duke Of Hastings-Free Trailer For Season 2 Of “Bridgerton”

Since Regé-Jean Page’s buttcheeks won’t even get out of bed for $50,000 per episode, season two of Shonda Rhimes’ Netflix hit Bridgerton contains exactly zero scoops of The Duke of Hastings’ pudding. Instead, the second season will focus on Lord Anthony Bridgerton’s butt, or bar(r)ing that, his wet torso at the very least. Jonathan Bailey’s Anthony Bridgerton returns as Netflix’s most eligible bachelor if we don’t count* Kanye or Shake from Love is Blind 2. *we don’t

As previously announced, the plot of S2 mirrors The Viscount Who Loved Me, the second book in the series of romance novels by Julia Quinn that the show is based on. Each book focuses on one of the eight Bridgerton siblings. The first season was based on the book The Duke and I. And while S2 is Dukeless, the I, played by Pete Davidson’s ex-girlfriend Phoebe Dynevor, can be seen, however briefly, as Anthony’s sister Daphne in the trailer. According to People:

On Wednesday, Netflix released the official trailer for season 2 of the Shonda Rhimes-produced period drama, which is returning to the streaming platform on March 25.

Following the structure of the novels written by author Julia Quinn, the second installment focuses on eldest Bridgerton sibling Lord Anthony Bridgerton’s (Jonathan Bailey) journey to find love.

In the trailer, fans get a glimpse at Anthony’s attempts to find a suitable wife who will uphold his family name.

“It is only out of the greatest love of my family that I am to choose a wife with head and not my … heart,” he says.

Well, considering that in the previous season Anthony upheld the family name by spending his spare time fucking an opera singer, trying to pimp his sister out to a creepy sex pest, and challenging her hunky Duke to a duel, I’m sure any ho with dough will do. Unless that is, true love lands in his lap. *spoiler alert* It do.

Anthony begins to court new arrival Edwina Sharma (Charithra Chandran) but finds himself having to prove his intentions to her older sister, Kate Sharma (Simone Ashley). However, as the two butt heads, Anthony finds himself in a love triangle after he and Kate grow closer.

A love triangle is so Georgian. You’d think by Regency times we could get a little hot parallelogram action going. I’m sure Pete showed Daphne a trick or two. Here’s the trailer.

What was it with Regency-era dudes and lakes? Colin Firth was the first and the best to do it. No need to continue dunking these boys unless there is a prehistoric pachyderm living under there who sucks off their entire foppish fit, britches and all.
