Dr. Oz Accused His Sister Of Stealing Millions Of Dollars From Their Deceased Father’s Estate

Thanks to Oprah, we‘ve all been introduced, against our will, to Republican Senatorial hopeful Dr. Mehmet Oz, but have you met his alleged grifter sister? Page Six reports that Dr. Oz and his sister Nazlim Oz have taken sibling rivalry to a whole new level and are suing each other over control of their dead dad’s money. Back in November of 2020, Nazlim sued her brother for failing to pay her the $15,000 monthly rent she usually gets on a pair of “pricey Upper East Side apartments” owned by their late father, Mustafa Oz, who died in 2019. And in a new affidavit, Dr. Oz said he stopped paying Nazlim because he suspects she stole millions of dollars from their dad’s estate, even going so far as to forge his will. We know Dr. Oz can’t be trusted (especially around children, they’re just too appetizing to resist!), but it sounds like no Oz can be trusted PERIOD. You would have thought that after all the shit Oz The Great and Powerful pulled, we’d have known better. Fucking Oprah! She should have given The Flying Monkeys their own show instead.

In 2020, Nazlim, who lives in Turkey, filed a complaint in a Manhattan court accusing Dr. Oz of failing to send her the rent money collected from their dad’s condos. Page Six reports:

She claimed payments disappeared after the February 2019 death of their father, Mustafa Oz, who snatched up the condos in 1983.

Nazlim alleges that her brother gave her “no legal reason” for withholding the payments, though she noted that her father’s estate is tied up in probate court in his native Turkey.

But the TV star said he had to stop payments and put the money in escrow since their mother and other relatives are suing her over the estate, the Real Deal reported.

Nazlim said her brother was holding out on her to gain “some type of leverage over her in Turkish probate proceedings.” However, Dr. Oz has now filed an affidavit asking the court to pause her suit and accuses Nazlim of stealing from Mustafa’s estate. Page Six reports:

The rental income has been going to Nazlim and their other sister, Seval — but Dr. Oz, as the manager of the apartments, said he cut Nazlim off pending another legal dispute that’s playing out in Turkish courts, the filing says. That money is being held in a separate account and he insists he doesn’t “benefit” from the rental income in any way.

“Dr. Oz ceased the distributions because he, Seval, and their mother (Suna Oz) uncovered evidence that Nazlim had been stealing her father’s money,” Dr. Oz’s lawyer, Michael J. Cohen, wrote in court papers.

Nazlim — who lives in Turkey — allegedly hid money “from her father’s estate to her own use and to the ongoing detriment of her sister, Seval Oz,” the affidavit alleges. Nazlim also allegedly “deprived our mother of funds with which to live, and deprived her of her inheritance,” the papers say.

Dr. Oz claims Nazlim forged their dad’s will in 2018 in an attempt to override the real one, according to the affidavit.

The Istanbul Chief Prosecutor’s Office launched a probe to track down Mustafa’s money. The office found that Nazlim has accounts in the Netherlands, India and the Cayman Islands, the affidavit alleges.

What a mess. Maybe Dr. Oz can make rich people’s inherited wealth problems the cornerstone of his Pennsylvania Senate campaign and leave Dr. Fauci the fuck out of it. Let’s not forget that Dr. Oz’s friend told that “fucking girl reporter” she thought Dr. Oz was going to be the next leader of the Republican party. It would be a smart pivot. Greed-fueled family feuds seem very on-brand for the GOP.
