Marilyn Manson Is Suing Evan Rachel Wood For Fraud, Defamation, And Conspiracy

Evan Rachel Wood has spoken publicly about being a victim of domestic and sexual abuse at the hands of a former partner (she took her story all the way to a House Judiciary Committee in 2018, in an effort to help get a sexual assault survivor’s bill passed). And last year, she named said abuser as Marilyn Manson, with who she was with from 2006 to 2010. Many women have also come forward and accused Marilyn Manson (real name: Brian Warner) of several forms of abuse. Just four months ago, police raided his house after receiving a warrant in an ongoing sexual assault investigation. So it’s enough evidence to make skeptics think, “Yeah, that’s not good” and believers say, “Oh, he totally did that shit.” But Marilyn is still claiming innocence and is suing Evan Rachel Wood for allegedly cooking up false allegations against him.

Not long after Evan went public with her story, and was joined by several other women that included Jenna Jameson, Marilyn fired back, saying that all the allegations against him were “distortions of reality,” that all those women are choosing to “misrepresent the past,” and that all his former relationships have been consensual. And his lawsuit against Evan, he alleges that she made everything. I believe he’s pictured Evan and a friend hunched over a bubbling cauldron, tossing in generous handfuls of newt eyes and frog balls, cackling like witches at the thought of sweet, innocent Brian Warner getting dragged into the pits of bad publicity. via TMZ:

Marilyn Manson is suing Evan Rachel Wood, alleging she cooked up a massive scheme to manufacture sexual abuse accusations against him … and committed crimes in the process.

The rocker just filed a shocking lawsuit against his ex and her partner, Illma Gore, with whom ERW has reportedly been romantically involved on and off for years. In the suit, obtained by TMZ, Manson alleges both women have engaged in fraud, conspiracy and defamation in furtherance of a calculated plot to take him down and ruin his career.

Marilyn alleges that from 2019 to 2021, Evan and Illma worked together to take him down. The lawsuit alleges that Evan and Illma’s goal was to win in the “court of public opinion,” which I guess you could say Evan was successful in that. After she spoke up about Marilyn, he was dropped by his record label, Loma Vista Recordings, he was dropped by his agents at CAA, and was fired from AMC’s Creepshow and Starz’s American Gods. But Marilyn has a friend in Kanye West, who repeatedly trotted him out for performances. His working relationship with Kanye saw Marilyn get included in the Grammy nominations for Donda this year. But it’s all for nothing, thanks to that meddling Evan and her little dog, Illma. It doesn’t end there either.

Evan and Illma created the Phoenix Act, a survivor-led nonprofit organization that works to support abuse victims. But according to Marilyn, it was all just a cover so they could make money and kill Marilyn’s career. via TMZ:

He claims Gore sent out a bulk email to a number of Manson’s former romantic partners, asking them to share experiences they might’ve had in common with Wood … obviously in reference to MM.

Once they got some people in their orbit, Manson and co. claim Wood and Gore then started to persuade these women that they had, in fact, been abused by Manson during their time with him … by insisting their trauma was buried under repressed memories.

Manson then claims Wood and Gore started systematically coordinating the women’s allegations … with checklists and even scripts Manson alleges were being produced, distributed and hammered home by Wood and Gore, all in an effort to make the allegations more believable.

He also alleges that Evan and Illma posed as fake FBI agents and made up a fake letter from the FBI, stating that Evan and all other victims of Marilyn Manson might be in danger, due to an ongoing investigation. Marilyn claims that Evan then distributed this letter to victims’ families and the media. He also accuses Evan and Illma of hacking into his emails, computer files, social media accounts, and that Illma even allegedly went so far as to make up an email address and pretend she was Marilyn Manson himself, in order to create a paper trail of threats and compromising content. Okay but to be fair, how difficult would that be to make up an email address and pretend to be Marilyn Manson? Just make it something like SpookySingingMan@gmail.com, or CoffinsAreCool@hotmail.com, and then proceed to speak in backward riddles.

And remember last February when LAPD crashed Marilyn’s house after receiving a call from a concerned person who couldn’t get a hold of him? There was a whole helicopter circling the property, shining a spotlight down into the yard and everything. Marilyn accuses Illma of being the one who made the call.

Marilyn is seeking damages, and a court order to prevent Evan and Illma from continuing with their alleged plot.

As for Evan’s side of things, she hasn’t said much yet about this lawsuit. But she does have reason to be in the news this week, besides her getting dragged into Marilyn’s mess. In happier Evan news, it was revealed that she’s playing Madonna in Weird Al Yankovic’s Roku biopic, Weird, starring Daniel Radcliffe.

Madonna is currently searching for the right actress to play her in her biopic. Maybe if she gets desperate, she can call up Evan and see if Roku lets her keep the wig and the wardrobe, because that would absolutely do in a pinch!
