Priyanka Chopra Basically Tells Rosie O’Donnell To Google Her After Calling Her “The Chopra Wife”

Rosie O’Donnell is experiencing the aftermath of an off-the-cuff apology after a highly embarrassing encounter with Priyanka Chopra and her husband, Nick Jonas. You see, Rosie assumed that everyone named Chopra was related and suggested she knew Priyanka’s father, Deepak Chopra. Obviously, Rosie isn’t even that good friends with Deepak in the first place if she doesn’t know who his kids are! Deepak is not Priyanka’s father and they’re not any more related than singer Janet Jackson is related to Dawson’s Creek‘s Joshua Jackson. So Rosie took to TikTok and apologized to Nick and the “Chopra wife” for the mix-up and now Priyanka has a response and she suggests that Rosie perhaps pick up Google the next time she wants to apologize to someone.

Rosie ruined Priyanka and Nick’s Nobu date, and she should really be upset that she trashed their away time from their daughter who they welcomed via surrogate earlier this year. Priyanka and Nick only get a few hours to themselves and then they have to go back to watching the nannies she and Nick hired to watch her baby! That’s hard work for any celebrity parent. I mean it’s also made worse that Priyanka’s actual father, Dr. Ashok Chopra, died in 2013 after battling cancer and Priyanka dealt with depression from it for years. But hey, here’s Rosie O’Donnell here to open an old wound and then call her the “Chopra wife.” And you know what, Priyanka seems to have taken some offense to that. So she hopped on her Instagram to speak on it, via People:

“I have never taken myself so seriously to think everyone would know who I am, or my work for that matter,” she wrote. “But if you wanted to make a public apology for a very awkward private encounter, I think probably best to take the time to Google my name before doing it or even try to reach out directly.”

The Baywatch star continued, “We ALL deserve to be respected for our unique individuality and not be referred to as “someone” or “wife” especially in a sincere apology. If we can learn to respect our differences in an authentic way, the world we raise our children in, will be amazing.”

Priyanka also explained that her last name Chopra is common in her community, adding, “not all Chopra’s are related to the great Deepak, just as not all Smith’s are related to the legendary Will Smith.”

Here’s her story:

Rosie is a mess, but if anything, Priyanka Chopra has kept the poetry of Courtenay Semel alive by basically saying: Google me, you dumb fuck!
