Evangeline Lilly Urged Justin Trudeau To Speak Directly With The Canadian Anti-Vaxx Protesters

If you’re cold, they’re cold. That was the message part-time Avenger and full-time Canadian freedom fighter Evangeline Lilly shared directly with Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau. Appearing in a video shared by Bridge City News, “a Canadian news show that airs on the Miracle Channel, a Christian television network,” Evangeline pleaded with Justin to “recognize and hear from the people sitting out in the cold at your door.” Evangeline would like for Justin to bring them in. They just want to talk. Apparently, the convoy of Canadian truckers and their itinerant posse of anti-COVID-19 vaccine mandate rabble-rousers were out #inthesestreets freezing to death because they can’t afford to keep their jumpy castles inflated and heated at the same time.

Evangeline started fumbling the Marvel bag early on in the COVID-19 pandemic by posting on Instagram in March 2020 that she wasn’t about to let some “respiratory flu” stop her from living free from “Marshall Law,” whatever that is. It’s like ma’am, Marshall’s is a privately owned company and they are within their rights to put anti-theft devices on their more expensive Designer Imposter fragrances. If you have an issue with it, take it up with your local Wendy’s drive-thru. Then, just as the Canadian trucker convoy was making its way to Ottawa last month, Evangeline showed her support by attending Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s anti-vaxx protest in Washington DC in solidarity. Now she’s taken her support to the next level by playing peace-maker, addressing Justin directly about his decision to invoke the Emergencies Act in an attempt to get the protesters to disperse. According to The Hollywood Reporter:

Ant-Man star Evangeline Lilly is urging Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau to speak with groups protesting vaccine mandates and pandemic restrictions in the country.

The actor addressed Trudeau in a video posted earlier this week to the Instagram account for Bridge City News, a Canadian news show that airs on the Miracle Channel, a Christian television network. In the video, Lilly stated: “I want to speak to you today about your current approach to and current treatment of our fellow Canadians who are protesting your federal vaccine mandates. They have asked to meet with you, prime minister, medical experts, top scientists, doctors, nurses, parents, grandparents, intelligent, loving, concerned citizens.

You see, they’re all just reasonable, respectful people who would like to have their voices heard over their own incessant honking! And despite what you may have heard about the convoy having ties to white supremacy, as you can see from Evangeline’s wardrobe, she and her fellow protestors are actually the least racist people you will ever meet. One does not pull their finest “Native print” blouse out of the box marked “to donate” from their garage unless FREEDOM is on the line. Apparently, Evangeline thinks that the protesters and the Canadian government just need to have a little heart-to-heart and went on to implore Justin to “explain it to them and ask them to listen with open hearts and minds, and then reciprocate.” I guess since Evangeline already wrapped filming on Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, she’s got free time to dabble in some light deplorable diplomacy.

In her video, Lilly continued: “If you’re so convinced of your own reasons for the mandates, sit down and walk the leaders of a group of 2.3 million protesters across the country who represent many millions more across the nation, and  Listen to what they have to say with a mind open to hearing things that might go against the ideas you are entrenched in.” (On Jan. 30 on social media, a false report incorrectly attributed to Ottawa police circulated that claimed 2.3 million people participated in the protests, but Reuters fact-checkers have debunked that number.)

Added Lilly: “What we need right now from our leadership is unification, and that requires being willing to see, recognize and hear from the people sitting out in the cold at your door.”

Evangaline also urged Justin to listen to something called Needlepoints by Canadian psychologist Jordan Peterson who apparently is not just a medical expert, he’s also a noted climate scientist based on his appearance on The Joe Rogan Experience which The Guardian called a “word salad of nonsense.”

It’s so bad I felt my soul leaving my body there for a minute. Look, I’m no conspiracy theorist, but if Evangeline wants Justin to change course and listen to this dude, I think a good case could be made that it could be considered a spiritual assassination attempt.
