The Philadelphia Health Department Trolls Nicki Minaj On Twitter

February 19, 2022 / Posted by:

Rapper, esteemed medical professional, and lawsuit lightning rod Nicki Minaj is trending again thanks to her infamous view on vaccines and their ability to grow your balls to a monstrous degree. She was recently on the receiving end of a classic burn on Twitter regarding her swollen testicle tweet, but surprisingly it wasn’t Cardi B who trolled her. It was the Philadelphia Health Department! You know, you’ve got a powerfully dumb take on your hands when a government department shades you for something you said months ago!

If you don’t recall, last September Nicki spit her version of the “truth” after revealing that she wouldn’t attend the Met Gala. When a fan asked why she wouldn’t be gracing the event and maybe get a shoe or two thrown at her, Nicki casually commented that she couldn’t because the event required proof of vaccination. She added that the vaccine gave her Trinidadian cousin’s friend abnormally swollen balls which led to impotency and a canceled wedding. We all believed her because we know that Nicki would never obfuscate the truth when it comes to important things! Everyone got involved in this next-level version of misinformation, from the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago’s health minister to Anthony Fauci.

Time has passed and most of us have moved on. UNTIL TODAY! We may have forgotten about Nicki’s cousin’s friend’s balls, but the Philadelphia Health Department hasn’t! From TMZ:

Nicki Minaj’s cousin’s friend’s swollen testicles are making the rounds on social media once again … this time resulting in Minaj on the losing end of a pretty hilarious Twitter burn.

It all started with a Nicki tweet on Wednesday that read, “Nothing like watching someone speak confidently about something they know nothing about.”

The Philadelphia Dept. of Public Health clearly felt a certain way about the post, replying to Nicki with the 👀 emoji and a screenshot of Nicki’s tweet from Sept. 2021 which read, “My cousin in Trinidad won’t get the vaccine cuz his friend got it & became impotent. His testicles became swollen. His friend was weeks away from getting married, now the girl called off the wedding. So just pray on it & make sure you’re comfortable with ur decision, not bullied.”

The Philly health department didn’t even need to type an actual sentence when calling out Nicki; her words speak for themselves. Nicki caught wind of the tweet and attempted to hit back in tweets she later deleted, via Billboard:

Philadelphia’s public health account is posting Nicki Minaj tweets for engagement,” the rapper tweeted on Friday (Feb. 18). “They are attempting to shame ppl for advising others to PRAY, be COMFORTABLE & NOT BE BULLIED. I’ve never seen a vaccine trigger this amount of shaming & fear tactics have you? #DoWeHaveAProblem”

She also replied to a fan who said they would not get vaccinated and is “starting to believe the conspiracy theorist” after seeing the Health Department’s tweets. “Good job guys. You just convinced more ppl to NOT get the vaccine you want them to get. Yaaaayyyyy,” Nicki wrote to the Health Department, adding, “Why TF won’t u just get off MY testicles?”

For a woman who is so concerned about truth and her tenuous connection to medically unsafe testicles, she really gave us no further info on those balls. Did we ever get a resolution to the saga of the swollen huevos? That’s one of the great shames of today’s rapid-fire news cycle. We never get to hear the endings of moving stories like these!
