Adele Explains Why She Canceled Her Vegas Show And Reveals Plans To Have A Baby Next Year

Last night, Adele filmed an appearance on The Graham Norton Show and she talked about postponing her Vegas residency. 33-year-old Adele explained that she really tried to get the show ready in time, but “it would have been a really half-assed show and I can’t do that.” But Adele promises fans that the residency will be rescheduled for sometime this year because she’s planning on having a baby next year. “Oy, me ovaries are singin’! Me man betta put a baby in me fanny, STAT!”
Adele told Graham Norton that she really thought she could pull Weekends with Adele together in time, but it just didn’t work out, via Yahoo!:
“I regret that I kept going until that late in the day. It would have been a really half-assed show and I can’t do that,” she said before adding that her team is working hard to get the show off the ground.
“We are now working our asses off, but I don’t want to announce a new set of dates until I know everything will definitely be ready. The sooner I can announce the better, but I just can’t in case we are not ready in time,” she explained before promising fans that the show will be happening this year because she has some personal plans next year. “It is absolutely 100% happening this year. It has to happen this year because I’ve got plans for next year. Imagine if I have to cancel because I am having a baby!”
Adele gave birth to son Angelo James in 2012 with her then-boyfriend (and now ex-husband) Simon Konecki. Earlier in the interview, she talked about wanting to have more kids:
“It takes me a while to recharge, and I would like to have more children — I only just feel like I’ve caught up with my sleep from nine years ago when I had my son.”

And Adele talking about re-charging after albums and wanting to expand her family:
Earlier in the interview, Graham brought up that massive rock that is currently weighing down Adele’s left hand. Might she be engaged to boyfriend Rich Paul? Adele laughed, and answered, “As if I would ever tell anyone if I was or wasn’t.” Then she showed off the ring and said, “Lovely though, innit?” Graham joked, “I have to say, as a casual observer, it looks like you are.” Adele and, “Alright!” and Graham said he took that as a “yes”:
After her Graham Norton appearance, Adele went to London’s Heaven Nightclub. It was their LGBTQ+ night, G-A-Y, and Drag Race UK queen Cheryl Hole was performing. Adele shook her ass and sang along to Geri Halliwell’s cover of It’s Raining Men and CeCe Peniston’s Finally:

Maybe that’s what Adele’s Vegas show was missing: DRAG QUEENS! Hire ten of their asses to do constant death drops and double-wig reveals. That, plus the blinding light reflecting off Adele’s diamond ring? There’s no way anybody in the audience will be able to clock the production’s shortcomings.
