James McAvoy Recently Got Secret Married
Well, if like me, you’ve ever fantasized about driving through the Scottish countryside and getting a flat tire, and as you stand by the side of the road, forlorn and shivering for ‘tis proper plowetery out, a figure appears out of the fog and mist, and as he approaches you, pulling off his damp wool sweater, you realize it’s Scottish pocket-hottie James McAvoy, and though you are married, the sudden mutual and intense lust between you is palpable and you tell yourself, it’s OK to fuck in this muddy field on a tartan blanket from the boot of your car, just this once, well I have bad news for you. You now have to gloss over the fact that James is also married in your fantasy, making it that much harder to finish. Because, according to Page Six, James recently revealed that he secretly married his girlfriend, Lisa Liberati.

James McAvoy is a married man.
The “Atomic Blonde” actor revealed in a new interview that he recently married his girlfriend, Lisa Liberati, who hails from Philadelphia.
“Yeah, it’s like a second home for me,” he told the Guardian of the City of Brotherly Love.
He declined to comment further on their marriage out of fear of creating “tabloid fodder.”
It was first reported in 2019 that McAvoy had married Liberati, but he never addressed the rumors.
Shit, knowing how well James can keep a secret makes me having to alter my fantasy even more painful. We totally could have gotten away with it! James, 42, and Lisa, age as unknowable to me as James’ heart, met on the set of Split, that M. Night Shyamalan movie from 2016 that wasn’t as easy to make fun of as Old. Lisa was working as M. Night’s personal assistant, but Page Six adds that they didn’t start dating for another two years. And because M’Lord is a just and honorable Lord, it’s not because he was waiting for her to turn 18. In these pictures of the couple, she’s a regular nice looking lady around the same age as him.
This is James’ second marriage, he was previously married to actress Anne-Marie Duff who he met on the set of the UK version of Shameless. They divorced in 2016 and have an 11-year-old son named Brendan. But you’ll never hear Anne-Marie say anything about the timing of that because they agreed to never speak about each other in public.
A year after the split, McAvoy said he and Duff, 51, maintained their vow never to speak about each other in public.
“Me and Anne-Marie, when we were together, it was our policy not to speak about each other in public. We rarely broke that and if we did, it was for tiny things — ‘Yes, we are cooking turkey this Christmas’ — and that policy still stands,” he told Mr. Porter.
“Even separated, we’re still respectful of each other and committed to doing that publicly and personally.”
Just like he’s always respectful and committed to me in that muddy field. Not too respectful though, if you know what I mean.
