Two “The Masked Singer” Judges Walked Off The Set After Rudy Giuliani Was Revealed To Be A Contestant

Inhale. Exhale. Maybe try counting to 10. You are fine, this is fine. Everything is fine. What you are experiencing is not a psychotic break. It is a post-traumatic stress response to seeing Rudy Giuliani again after we thought he had slithered away back to his underground lair to regain his strength after the taxing humiliations of the 2020 election left him drained of his precious bodily fluids. Which, considering what we saw leaking out of his hairline, is likely activated sludge composed of a mixture of microbes and suspended particles with some essential oils added to give it that special zip! But we were wrong. Rudy’s still topside and he’s been walking among us, masquerading as a human being masquerading as a patriotic banana split singing Frank Sinatra (or something) on the upcoming season of The Masked Singer.

Apparently, Rudy has been hard at work doing what he does best, making a colossal fool of himself on the national stage and frightening people in the process, as opposed to what he does worst, which is practicing law. According to Deadline, Rudy “was unmasked as an exiting costumed contestant” during a taping of The Masked Singer last week, prompting two of the judges, Robin Thicke and Ken Jeong, to say “ah, heeeell no” and walk off the set.

Rudy Giuliani was unmasked as an exiting costumed contestant in last week’s taping of the first Season 7 episode of Fox’s popular primetime series The Masked Singer. Deadline hears that as soon as they saw Giuliani, judges Ken Jeong and Robin Thicke quickly left the stage in protest.

We aren’t revealing which costume Rudy wore or what his swan song was — his exit episode won’t air until next month — so you can still revel in his reveal. The theme of the new season is “The Good, The Bad and The Cuddly”; your political affiliation determines which category Giuliani fits.

It’s a normal human response to move as far away from Rudy as you can the first moment you sense his presence. Even Robin’s lizard brain kicked into survival mode. But not for long, Deadline says he and Ken both eventually came back to set. And fellow judges Jenny McCarthy and Nicole Scherzinger actually stuck around and”bantered” with Rudy. So if you see them out in the world, remember they might be infected! Watch for the signs. One dead giveaway is they start eating vermin. Just going around popping roaches like breath mints. You hate to see it. CNN adds:

Giuliani has kept up the drumbeat of widespread voter fraud — again, with zero proof — for much of the past year. He is the subject of a $1.3 billion defamation lawsuit filed by Dominion Voting Systems due to his repeated (and false) statements suggesting that the 2020 race was somehow rigged.
The common thread that ties Giuliani’s election denialism to his appearance on a reality TV show is this: He is absolutely desperate to stay relevant.
The “Masked Singer” appearance — and the controversy it triggered — is rightly understood as a continuation of Giuliani’s desperate search for relevance in the decade (or so) since he mattered in American politics. It would be funny — if it wasn’t so sad.

So please, be well and remember, Rudy can’t hurt you. Your brain has not cleaved in two with one lobe residing in the so-called “real world” and the other floating though space and time untethered from the reality you once trusted. Repeat after me. Today is Thursday. Tomorrow will be Friday. If I drop a pencil, the equation for a falling body near the surface of the earth remains constant and it will fall a distance that is proportional to the square of the elapsed time. Besides, we’ve seen this type of thing before.
