Mel C Joked About Victoria Beckham’s Singing Abilities On “Drag Race UK Vs. The World”

Every time a Grindr notification pings, a new RuPaul’s Drag Race spinoff gets produced. The latest is Drag Race UK Versus The World, which stars former Drag Race contestants from across the globe. The series premiered Tuesday and featured a talent show, a wholly unjust first elimination, and Melanie Chisholm making an appearance as a guest judge. Sporty Spice seemed to be having a ball, and during judging, she joked that contestant Baga Chipz must have been inspired by Victoria Beckham because her lip-syncing skills sucked. Ha! It’s funny cuz it’s true.
Mel C said this about Baga performing her original song, “Much Betta”:
You are giving me lots of Spice Girl inspiration tonight. You lip synced badly… but when you were performing, I was like, there’s a resemblance. Posh Spice! But you know what? Your vocals are “Much Betta!”
But she didn’t stop there. Later Mel C shit-talked Geri Halliwell Horner’s dancing, in response to contestant Blu Hydrangea’s routine where she had life-sized cheerleader puppets attached to her so they’d mimic her moves. Blu explained that she’d done the act before, but with Spice Girls puppets (she played Geri). Mel joked, “That’s a way of keeping Geri in time! We should do that next time we go out!” Here’s the clip of Sporty Shady Spice doing her thing:

The Spice Girls’ most recent tour was in 2019, and Victoria had zero interest in joining. Later Mel B shared that she was upset that Victoria didn’t even come to see their final show at Wembley Stadium. But Mel C doesn’t seem to have any (public) beef with Victoria, as evidenced by this friendly birthday post from last year:
I’m gonna guess Posh isn’t too offended by the cheeky digs. But it would be a different story if Mel C. came for something she actually cares about. Like her fashion, her husband, or that bucket she filled with her kids’ teeth. Yep, tooth bucket ranks way higher than something silly like “talent.”
