Open Post: Hosted By Gwyneth Paltrow Eating Her Own Vagina Candle In A Super Bowl Commercial For Uber Eats

Super Bowl LVI is going down on February 13, and so brands are starting to release teasers for the commercials they are paying zillions for. Gotta get their money’s worth! Uber Eats’ Super Bowl commercial stars Jennifer Coolidge, Trevor Noah, and Gwyneth Paltrow. The “Uber Don’t Eats” campaign is meant to, I guess, tell people that you can order lots of stuff with Uber, but not all of it is edible? Like Gwyneth’s This Smells Like My Vagina candle, which she chows down on in the commercial. But Gwyneth using teeth on a vagina (candle) is bad form.

Ahead of the full commercials, Uber Eats released short teasers. The previews feature the celebs munching on things they shouldn’t be, like Gwyneth’s aromatic product which is clearly not edible. But then again, a lot of Goop products probably shouldn’t be used by people for what they’re intended for, either. via Bustle:

She proceeds to bite and chew the candle and exclaims, “This candle tastes funny. Not bad, but funny.” Realizing it doesn’t taste like a body part, Paltrow learns an important lesson: You can order seemingly anything on the Uber Eats app, but just because the brand has the word “eat” in its name doesn’t mean you can chow down on anything you order.

Jennifer’s meal is closer to edible, as she eats lipstick which at least has to be non-toxic since you put it on your lips, right? But then she eats a makeup brush, so she takes a left turn there.

Coolidge’s teaser clip finds the White Lotus actor going through a paper bag of items she ordered from Uber Eats when she comes across a tube of lipstick. Confused, she asks, “Lipstick delivered with Uber Eats?” and then eats the beauty product. “It tastes like purple!” she exclaims before reaching into the bag for her next non-food snack. Coolidge pulls out a makeup brush, quickly bites off its bristles, and chews them as she says, “I love this! Oh my God!”

Trevor also eats some deodorant in his ad and he seems to be the only one of the three who genuinely doesn’t enjoy it at all.

Honestly, eating a candle seems healthier than half of the Goop products that Gwyenth tells you to put in your body. But what gets me is that Gwyenth Paltrow is using her opulent rich lady image to push a peasant service like Uber Eats! Is she broke?! I mean, the only Uber Eats that Gwyneth uses for her meals is Über Eatz and that’s the name of her weekday personal chef.
