BREAKING: Chrissy Teigen Discovered That You Can Wear Comfortable Clothes All The Time

January 30, 2022 / Posted by:

After completing what appears to be a successful brow transplant, Chrissy Teigen is back to overshare her latest groundbreaking transformation. May I shock you? She’s getting rid of high heels. Yes, Ms. Teigen announced on Instagram that she will be throwing away her collection of heels as they are a sexist symbol designed to entertain the male gaze and to wear them would be implicitly supporting the patriarchy. Kidding! She just realized she can actually wear comfortable shoes more often.

Apparently, one of Chrissy’s New Year’s resolutions was to not wear things that weren’t physically comfortable and she’s managed to stick to it. My new year’s wish was to have Chrissy stop publishing her whole life on social media because it made me physically UNcomfortable. Sadly, she continues to post. via Us Weekly:

In the interest of comfort, Chrissy Teigen has made the decision to permanently retire her high heels — and she simply doesn’t care what John Legend has to say about it.

Teigen laid out her reasoning for her fashion decision via a Friday, January 28, Instagram post, in which she showed off her new Fendi Birkenstocks.

“This year I vowed that I would not wear anything unless I was physically comfortable in it. This has resulted in the need for shoes that are … not the … how do I say this … well they are extremely comfy,” she started off her caption, noting that she has a handful of Birkenstock-like shoes en route to her home.

While Teigen explained that she is thrilled about her fashion evolution, she did note that the “Piece of Me” singer prefers a sexier shoe. “I couldn’t be more excited. John no so much. But consider it my revenge for his pants lately,” she added.

Teigen went on to explain that if she does decide to wear a high heel on occasion, she’s going to make sure it doesn’t “throb the bunion” or her “tingers,” aka her “toe fingers.”

You can read her essay and check out Chrissy’s “tingers” (ugh) here:

While ugly, the sandals do look comfortable as hell. Her husband John Legend appears to be in the “please wear something that looks nice” camp because it sounds like he’s not into the new no heels rule. Chrissy apparently doesn’t care and although she’s on a bullying hiatus, she’s using the opportunity to take a shot at his pants. It’s wonderful to see Chrissy continue to blossom into a healthy member of society and limit the bullying to her family!

As a non-heel wearer (I’m an old with bad knees), I’m supportive of anyone who doesn’t want to wear a stiletto. I’m also supportive of anyone who wears heels because being a little taller comes in handy when you gotta grab some plates from the top shelf. What I’m not supportive of is paying $1000 for Fendi sandals. In case you weren’t aware, Ross Dress For Less has some of the latest fashionable shoes with a only few stains for under $25. Bargain!
