Suki Waterhouse Possibly Implied In A Song That Bradley Cooper Broke Her Heart

January 28, 2022 / Posted by:

Suki Waterhouse is taking us way, way back to 2015 with her upcoming debut album, I Can’t Let Go. Yes, you read that correctly. Suki Waterhouse is making the official transition from model-slash-actress to model-slash-actress-slash-attempted singer. And it feels like she’s doing it with a little help from her former boyfriend Bradley Cooper. Remember when those two were a thing? Suki remembers, and if the lyrics to her debut single are any indication, she refuses to forget the time Bradley Cooper allegedly broke her heart into a million tiny pieces and wiped his shoe on the shards. Suki also added a little fuel to the rumor fire by posting a TikTok about the song while wearing a filter that made her look just a little bit too much like a certain someone with a history of heartbreaking.

Suki’s first album is set to be released on April 22, and its first single is called “Melrose Meltdown.” It’s the perfect song if you ever listened to Lana Del Rey and thought it would be so much better if she was a British person with access to the first two seasons of The Simple Life on DVD.

NME says that during an interview with Suki last year about her album, she explained she had wanted to record an album for a very long time because she “had all these things I’ve never spoken about that I felt like I had to tie up before I go into my thirties.” And one of those things might be the period in her 20s where she dated Bradley Cooper. Here are some of the lyrics to “Melrose Meltdown.”

In the car to Malibu
I’ll be crying on your milk-white sheets
Hoping one day we’ll marry
In a house you’ll build around me
I guess I believe
I believe in old fashioned things
Imagining us
But the longer I stay
I can see what’s happening

Suki turned 30 earlier this month, and she started dating Bradley in 2013 when she was 21 and he was 38. They broke up right around the time she turned 23. Bradley Cooper didn’t own a home in Malibu at that time, but he did live next door in the Palisades neighborhood of Rustic Canyon. But you don’t have to stretch reality that much to imagine she’s probably singing about Bradley Cooper, especially after she left a big ol’ hint on a since-deleted TikTok about the song. via Us Weekly:

“Can’t believe I let someone who looks like me with this filter break my heart,” the singer, 30, captioned a since-deleted TikTok video that showed her using a filter that added a beard to her on Wednesday, January 26.

After a user wrote “Bradley Cooper besties” in the comments section, Waterhouse left a thumbs-up on the response.

The model’s slow ballad, which played in the background of the clip, quickly got fans questioning whether it was about a past relationship.

Here’s what that filter looked like. Truthfully, the beard needs to be bigger to be a match for Bradley Cooper……

Maybe someone from Bradley’s publicity team made a formal request to have that TikTok deleted. “Hi Suki! Long time no chat. Listen, the song, the TikToks – so cute! But someone is bound to read the wrong thing into that fake beard filter. And Bradley truly doesn’t care about gay rumors. So let’s just save all of ourselves from a messy media cycle, agreed?
