Kat Von D Is Selling Her Spooky California Mansion, Complete With A Red Swimming Pool

Not long ago, we learned that Kat Von D was planning on pulling a reverse-Beverly Hillbillies situation, which is to say she’s selling her big fancy Los Angeles mansion, complete with custom cee-ment pond, and moving her family to Indiana where she can live the simple quiet life, far away from California’s tyrannical government overreach. Originally, the plan was for Kat, her husband Rafael Reyes, and their 3-year-old son Leafar, to maintain a primary residence in California, where Kat owns High Voltage Tattoo, and to live part-time in the mansion she bought in Vevay, Indiana, where she can cosplay a COVID dismisser ’till her heart’s content. Then it was revealed she had plans to sell both her home and her business and leave permanently. Well, she wasn’t throwing out empty threats. Her Disneyland Haunted Mansion house has been listed for sale.

The Daily Mail reports that the listing recently went up for sale, and she’s looking to get $15 million for it. So if you know of a rich vampire who is looking for a spacious 12,565 square foot home with 13 bedrooms in the central Los Angeles area, then tell them they’re in luck. But they better call Charles Wolfman Reality as soon as possible, because there’s no way this property is going to last long. I can already see prospective buyers lining up to place bids. Count Dracula. Beetlejuice. Count Chocula. Have I made it clear that this home is very spooky? And TMZ writes that Kat Von D sunk a ton of cash into the mansion to remodel it after she bought it.

Long before Kat moved in, the huge home was featured in the 2003 movie Cheaper By the Dozen…Kat paid $6.5 million for it back in 2016 … and she’s put some work and money into the place since then.

We’re told she completely restored the Victorian home which some unique features, like a library, hidden bar with hand-carved walls and 7 fireplaces!!!

Kat Von D redid the home inside and out. She repainted the outside a goth girl burgundy shade and redid every room in ornate gilded accents, elaborately carved wood, and in some cases, painted bats on the walls. It sounds like the only thing missing is Tim Curry as The Worst Witch’s Grand Wizard greeting you at the front door on a broom suspended by a rope attached to a ceiling joist, but it’s not nearly as campy as it sounds. Okay fine, there’s a creepy red pool that’s giving more of a strawberry Jell-O vibe, and that’s pretty unintentionally funny. Here’s the house.

And here’s some pictures from a Christmas party Kat threw back in December at her house:

The only thing that might be tough is finding someone who wants a $15 million 13-bedroom home decorated like there was a sale at Bed, Bath, and Baroque. That’s a lot of money. Maybe Kat Von D can throw in some extras, on the house. All appliances, ceiling fans, window coverings, and several gallons of pool water tinted with Red Dye 40.
