Crystal Hefner Says She Destroyed Thousands Of Revenge Porn Pics That Hugh Hefner Kept

If you ever watched the E! reality show The Girls Next Door, then you might have thought any creepiness of living in a polyamorous situation at the Playboy Mansion was tempered by some fun summer camp vibes with a side of lifelong sisterhood friendship. In recent years, that has proven to not exactly be the truth. Well, the creepiness, yes. That was confirmed time and time again. Holly Madison, Hugh Hefner’s one-time main girlfriend, has spoken about her experience living at the Playboy Mansion, and it wasn’t exactly all pastel pink-covered dreams and bunny tails. Recently, Holly claimed that Hugh used to keep a stack of Polaroid pictures that he allegedly used as blackmail against women. Hugh’s widow Crystal Hefner spoke up and confirmed what Holly claimed was true, and that Crystal destroyed the pictures as soon as she found them.

People reports that during a recent episode of the 10-part A&E series Secrets of Playboy, Holly said that Hugh Hefner had “all kinds of naked pictures” of women that he was keeping for blackmail purposes. Holly has also described living in the Playboy Mansion as being like in a “cult,” with a curfew, restricted access to people outside the mansion, and the expectation of sex. So, not exactly the happiest place on earth. She says that those pictures were one of the reasons why she felt scared to leave the Playboy Mansion.

“When I lived at the mansion, I was afraid to leave. Something that was always lingering in the back of my mind, I think since the very beginning, was that if I left there was just this mountain of revenge porn just waiting to come out.”

Giving everyone the mental picture of Hugh Hefner hunched over a little shoebox filled with potential revenge porn pics is a pretty loaded choice. But, Crystal Hefner, who was married to Hef for five years until his death in 2017, came through with her opinion on the matter. And she’s backing Holly up on this one. Crystal says she found the pictures and immediately got rid of them.

Crystal has been having a bit of Playboy’s version of a  come-to-Jesus moment as of late. Recently she explained that she had removed everything fake from her body, and was embracing a new life of modesty after feeling the pressure to dress sexy while she was living that Playboy lifestyle. She has also spoken candidly on how she loved Hugh Hefner, but also that the Playboy Mansion felt at times like “a prison.” So it probably wasn’t too difficult for Crystal to send the photos to the shredder, rather than cataloging them by eye color and hair extension length in a filing cabinet.

We only have this side of the story, since the other side – Hugh Hefner – has been dead for nearly four and a half years. But in the event it’s true, and Hef really did have a big ol’ bag of quick-developing revenge porn, then all there is to say is: YIKES. And since I’m one to diffuse an uncomfortable situation with a joke, then I’ll say that my brain is helping me to deal with this awful development by convincing me that Hef was definitely too old and way too dumb with computers to even know how to distribute that revenge porn when he had it. He was probably planning to mail the pictures by Pony Express to the long-defunct Beverly Hills Post with a 1½ Warren G. Harding stamp.
