Lady Gaga Talks More About Her “Love Scene” With Salma Hayek That Got Cut From “House Of Gucci”

Seems like Lady Gaga is trying to get some bonus points towards that Oscar she’s clearly desperate for because she’s once again talking about the love scene with Salma Hayek which ended up cut from House of Gucci. The scene got cut by director Ridley Scott and was suggested by Gaga in the first place, but that’s the whole point! Do you see?! She really goes there, she takes risks! Gaga is an artiste, and just because you didn’t get to see it doesn’t mean she shouldn’t get brownie points for doing the work, okay?!

In House of Gucci, Salma Hayek plays Giuseppina “Pina” Auriemma, a psychic and confidante of Gaga’s character Patrizia Reggiani. Pina helps Patrizia set up a hit on her ex-husband Maurizio Gucci (played by Adam Driver). In the final cut of the movie, the relationship between Pina and Patrizia is platonic, but during a Q&A after an HoG screening, Gaga claimed things got lesbionic between the two:

“There’s a whole side of this film that you did not see, where Pina and I developed a sexual relationship… I remember being on set with Salma and going: “So, after Mauricio dies maybe… it gets hot?””

And so during Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Gaga tells Jimmy about how she got to make out with Salma once again, saying “it was an awesome scene.” And from her description of it, it sounds like the scene has tons of pussy… cats, that is! via Today:

“All her cats were following her, and Salma, in order to get the cats to follow her, she put a bunch of catnip in her boot,” Gaga laughed. “So Salma’s walking around the house and the cats are following her… and then we were surrounded by cats and we started making out, and I made out with Salma Hayek.”

Gaga joked that she’s like that “really annoying kid in school that’s bragging that they made out with the popular girl but has no proof.”

And of course, she has to reiterate that making out was Gaga’s idea because that Oscar isn’t going to bait itself–it should, but it won’t:

“I was like, “OK, listen. So, before we do this scene, I just want your consent to do something together.” And she’s like, “OK, OK, OK. What do you want to do?” And I said, “OK. So I was thinking, you know, after the hit gets put on Maurizio (Adam Driver) and you get the phone call that he’s dead, that I walk over to you and kiss you. And she’s like, “What?!””

“So then we told Ridley and Giannina Scott–his wife was the producer on the film and Giannina is amazing. She’s been cultivating this film for 20 years,” Gaga continued. “So this was 20 years in the making. And so then we asked them and they were like, “Yeah, sure, try it.” And we did it.”

Here’s Gaga on Jimmy Kimmel Live!:

I wish Gaga was more like Adam Driver and just clocked out. Homegirl is getting that OVERTIME. The House of Gucci marketing team should hang their heads in shame, because Gaga is doing the job of all of them combined and more!
