Cardi B Wins $1.25 Million In Her Defamation Lawsuit Against Blogger Tasha K
This is why the word “allegedly” exists and blogger Tasha K has probably learned to use it more since Cardi B just won her federal libel lawsuit against Tasha. Time for Kulture to get a new Birkin because Cardi has been awarded $1.25 million in damages plus some expenses. While a jury was not on Cardi’s side back when she was allegedly (see what I did there) arranging for strippers to get beat up and got indicted by her fellow randomly-selected Americans, this time around they are solidly Team Cardi!
TMZ says that this started way back in 2019 when Cardi sued Tasha for posting on her blog that Cardi was a drug-dabbling prostitute with STDs. Tasha then countersued Cardi for slander and added a bizarre assault accusation, even though the two were never in the same room together. Got that Havana Syndrome from Cardi B, I guess? Tasha claimed that Cardi “encouraged gang members to “handle” her” and also said that Cardi was on Instagram calling Tasha a “dumb ass bitch” and a “hoe.”
Sadly for Tasha, her countersuit was tossed out last summer and so it was just down to whether or not the jury sided with her in the federal libel suit. And they did not, via TMZ:
After a week-plus long trial, Tasha was found liable on 3 separate claims, and ordered to pay Cardi $1.25 million in general damages and $250k for medical expenses.
…CB even went on the witness stand during the trial and testified she was suicidal during this period as a direct result of Tasha’s stories. Looks like she made an impact with jurors–she and her attorneys, Lisa Moore, Sarah Matz, and William Pequignot scored a big W, and can close the book on this mess, for now.
The judge said any potential punitive damages Tasha might owe Cardi will be determined in a future hearing.
While responding to the jury’s decision on Twitter, Tasha didn’t seem too bothered by having to pay Cardi over $1 million:

It’s the circle of wealth! Cardi hands a big $2 million check to her husband Offset for his birthday, Tasha hands a $1.25 million check to Cardi for her libel, and then Cardi hands most of the check to her team of lawyers. But I’m sure this will be a lesson for Cardi. When she allegedly arranges for hits on strippers, she loses. When she hires a team of lawyers to K.O. somebody instead, she wins.
