A Source Says Bill Hader And Anna Kendrick Have Been Quietly Dating For More Than A Year

Watch out, Justin Long and Kate Bosworth! Anna Kendrick and Bill Hader are coming for your “Most Rando Couple 2021/2022” title. That’s right, Pitch Perfect and Barry are banging, and a source tells People that it’s been going on for more than a year. But don’t expect 43-year-old Bill and 36-year-old Anna to confirm things any time soon. Apparently, they’re both “very private people.” Awww, now I feel bad for even writing about them. Or watching their movies and TV shows. Everyone, shield your eyes!

via People:

“Anna has been dating Bill quietly for over a year,” says the source. “They met years ago. She’s hosted Saturday Night Live and they’ve done a movie together, but they got together well after the movie.”

The movie in question is Noelle, that Disney+ Christmas movie where Anna plays Santa’s daughter. Bill co-stars as her brother. Hmmm, I hope they weren’t method on that set, cuz… gross. Noelle was shot in winter 2017/2018. So Bill would have just separated from his wife Maggie Carey, with whom he shares three daughters: Hannah, 12, Harper, 9, and Hayley, 7. Bill later dated Rachel Bilson from 2019 to 2020. As for Anna, she was in a long-term relationship with English cinematographer Ben Richardson. They started dating in 2014 and split sometime during the pandemic. People’s source adds:

“They are both very private people, and with the pandemic it was easy to keep it quiet,” adds the source. “They’re both hysterical so they must keep each other laughing all of the time. She’s really, really happy.”

Keeping things private when you’re constantly laughing together must be a real challenge. But maybe Anna and Bill have downgraded their deafening guffaws to light titters in order to keep their love under wraps. Anything to protect these shy celebrities from their worst fear: attention.
