Sources Say Lisa Bonet Wasn’t Into Following Jason Momoa Around The World As He Shot Movies

Who? Lisa Bonet and Jason Momoa. What? They split after 17 years together. When? It was announced last week. Where? Um, Hollywood? Why? We don’t know for sure, but, according to People’s sources, it may have something to do with Jason becoming a big-time movie stahhh. Jason “wants to keep working as much as he can,” but Lisa isn’t into following her husband around the world “on every location.” She just wants to hang out in Los Angeles. Insiders claim this time apart led to their demise. Ugh! This is exactly why men shouldn’t have careers outside the home!

A source “close to Bonet” tells People that the split didn’t happen overnight. They say the couple was “amazing for years, until they no longer were,” and have “grown apart because of different focuses”:

“A few years ago, Jason was struggling to find work. Now his career is booming. And he wants to keep working as much as he can.”

The former Cosby Show actress, 54, “has had no interest in joining” Momoa “on every location,” adds the source. “She enjoys her life in L.A.,” they say.

The source notes that “it’s been difficult for them to be apart,” and that the distance took a toll on their relationship. “For some people, it might strengthen their marriage. For Lisa and Jason’s marriage, being apart has been a disaster.”

Another “industry source” tells People that the couple has been living life separately for a while, and the pandemic didn’t help things. They say Lisa and Jason still care “deeply about each other,” but they want to “explore other things.” Hmmm, is that code for wanting to explore other genitals? The Lisa source goes on to say that we shouldn’t expect any drama from this split. They tell People that both Lisa and Jason are “mature” and will “keep the peace” for the sake of their two children, son Nakoa-Wolf, 13, and daughter Lola, 14:

“It’s not going to be some scandalous divorce where they trash talk each other,” the source insists. “They are both very spiritual and believe in a higher power.”

Ahhh, I forgot that your divorce can’t get messy if you’re a hippy dippy-type who believes in God! Silly me.
