Ray Fisher And Charisma Carpenter Respond To Joss Whedon’s Disastrous “New York Magazine” Interview

Joss Whedon‘s New York Magazine interview is landing harder than an America’s Next Top Model contestant on one of Tyra Banks’ obstacle courses. In it, the writer/director absolutely shits the bed as he denied claims of racism by saying that he minimized Ray Fisher’s role in Justice League due to plot reasons and Ray’s bad acting. And Joss says he never threatened Gal Gadot, it was just a misunderstanding since English isn’t her first language. Charisma Carpenter, who worked with Joss on Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel, previously accused him of on-set bullying and firing her for getting pregnant. Defenders of Joss tell NY Mag that they believe Charisma was never harassed by Joss and that Ray’s claims “corrupted” her mind and made her remember things wrong. And now Ray and Charisma are responding to Joss’ bullshit.
Joss calls Ray Fisher a “malevolent force” and a “bad actor in both senses” in the interview and after taking a day to celebrate Martin Luther King, Jr., Ray responded on Twitter. Ray thinks that Joss needs to get a refund from his PR team and also points out the weird part in the train wreck interview that makes Joss look like the Shia LaBeouf of directors.
Looks like Joss Whedon got to direct an endgame after all…
Rather than address all of the lies and buffoonery today—I will be celebrating the legacy of Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Tomorrow the work continues.#MLKDay

Before I get started today, I want to thank you all for lifting and supporting EVERYONE that has been negatively affected by Joss Whedon.
I was not the first to speak out about him, but I hope to be one of the last that has to.

Joss Whedon had nearly two years to get his story straight.
He’s likely spent tens (if not hundreds) of thousands of dollars on PR, crisis management, and coaching.
And his response to the allegations is: “They all misunderstood and/or are out to get me—also my mom is sexy” ???

Ray also points to the conflicting statements in Joss’ interview like how he says he would never threaten someone but also mentions how he used to plot “elaborate revenge fantasies” against his older brothers who would bully him. Charisma then tagged herself in and posted her continued support of Ray, calling Joss a “tyrannical narcissistic boss.” Kris Jenner will sue for copyright infringement–Joss cannot take her gig!

And Ray also went after New York Magazine and the article’s writer Lila Shapiro:
#IStandWithCharismaCarpenter who (like this “bad actor in both senses”) has no agency in determining matters of abuse or race, but for the influence of a White male shadow puppeteer.@NYMag and @lilapearl should be ashamed for regurgitating this nonsense.

The only way for Joss Whedon to fix publicity this bad is to pull a baby holding a kitten from a flaming car. And even then, people would say, “Nice try, you’re still an asshole.”
